Pride movement;

regard to all aspects of discrimination in
society and issues and difficulties affecting
the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans
(LGBT) people;

Cultivating a sentiment in favour of equality
and diversity in particular through celebrating
the diversity of LGBT communities

Advancing education in LGBT+ history,
culture, arts and well-being, and in equality
and diversity whether by signposting to other
organisations or services or producing
materials;

Producing publications, lectures, workshops,
media and other means of communication;
•
Staging an annual LGBT+ festival, and other
events, that actively promote, develop, and
showcase queer artists.|

to deliver a Pride March and Event which raises

rooted in activism and protest with the aim of

works hard to keep Pride free to all through
fundraising throughout the year and developing
sponsorship agreements with local businesses.
Where possible, Exeter Pride joins forces with|

whole.|Para 1.20|Exeter Pride was delighted to expand the Pride
March and wider event. Exeter Pride 2025 took
place on Saturday 10 May 2025 across
Northernhay Gardens, the Exeter Phoenix, the
Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) and
Exeter Library. Following the success of the
Pride Event in 2024, the Committee were keen
to grow the event further by adding a Bar and an
additional stage.
A number of significant elements were added to
the Pride 2025 event including, for the first time,
a very popular Dog Show. In addition, we sought
to increase the focus on young people and
families with a Youth Zone hosted in Exeter
Library with the support of our partner Intercom
Trust. Alongside our fantastic entertainment
offer featuring local talent and artists alongside a
Drag Competition to provide the upcoming drag
community with opportunities to perform on a
major stage.
In addition, during 2024/25, Exeter Pride was
finalising its National Lottery Heritage Funding to
support a “Fifteen Years of Pride” Heritage
Project to celebrate our 15 year anniversary.
Pride has created an audio visual archive about
the history of Exeter Pride through publicly
donated photos and film as well as newly
recorded
interviews
with
organisers
and
attendees. These were used to create the short
film ‘ 15 Years of Protest’ which explores the
history of Exeter Pride and shows why it is just
as vital today as when it first began. Exeter Pride
were lucky enough to be able to premiere the film
as part of the Come As You Festival at Exeter
Phoenix this year, and also screen it at Exeter

Exeter Pride has continued to grow its online and
social media presence with a particular growth in
our Instagram following and expanding our
Newsletter readership to over 250. We seek to
communicate with our membership and the
wider community regularly on the Pride event as
well as broader LGBTQ+ issues.
Exeter Pride received £19,805 in Sponsorship
from both long-term supporters, but lots of new
supporters for 2025. We continued the work of
our Ethical Sponsorship Working Group in
ensuring that Pride is taking decisions about
sponsorship that do not conflict with our mission
and values. We are particularly committed to not
taking funding where organisations have links
with the oppression of LGBTQ+ people,
Gambling, Tobacco, weapons manufacturing|
|and armed conflict, exploitative labour practices,|

|unsustainable environmental practices, and|
|acting against the UN Universal Declaration on|
|Human Rights.|
|In addition, Exeter Pride was delighted to secure|
|a National Lottery Community Grant for £19,995|
|to support the main infrastructure elements of|
|the Pride event including supporting the Medical|
|and Security costs, insurance, road closures and|

- I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 30[th] June 2025.
- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
