**Objects:** TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE GOOD HEALTH OF BABIES AND YOUNG CHILDREN FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY:-1. PROMOTING AND MAINTAINING STANDARDS OF WORK IN THE DIAGNOSING AND TESTING OF BABIES ANDYOUNG CHILDREN, PARTICULARLY USING THE GRIFFITHS SCALES;2. FOSTERING STUDIES AND RESEARCH DESIGNED TO INCREASE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OFDEVELOPMENTAL PROBLEMS IN YOUNG CHILDREN; AND3. IN CONNECTION WITH THE ABOVE, ORGANISING MEETINGS FOR THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS AND THEDEVELOPMENT OF ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO HELP THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN WORLDWIDE.
