The Atkinson Development Trust exists to support fundraising that enables The Atkinson and its partners to change the lives of Sefton residents and visitors through ambitious, creative and inspiring engagement with the arts, with heritage and with literature.

Objects: The Objects Of The Atkinson Development Trust Are:• To Advance The Education Of The Public (Particularly, But Not Limited To, Those Within The Administrative Area Of Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council) By Encouraging Them To Participate In And Contribute To Arts, Cultural And Heritage Activities Service Managed For Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council With A Particular Focus On The Atkinson Complex, To Value Them For The Positive Impact That IT Makes Upon Their Lives And Wellbeing;• To Promote Art, Cultural And Heritage Activities Undertaken For Public Benefit By Supporting Cultural Services Managed For Sefton Particularly The Atkinson, And Promoting High Quality Arts, Cultural And Heritage Service That Are Accessible And Enlightening
