Statement of Faith and with a commitment to theological reflection,
the Object of the CIO is to advance the education of the public in the
conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural
environment.| |---|---| ||The main events in this year involved our work with Mullers School of
Practical Theology (SPT). In May 2022 we hosted a group of students at
Jubilee House in Bristol to explore biblical teachings on creation care,
food and farming, and to encourage practical action in these areas.
During the latter part of 2022 and up to March 2023, our project
coordinator completed a 12 part online series for Mullers SPT, titled
“Creation, Agriculture and Technology”. This series will be used by the
students to deepen their understanding of the ecological impacts of food
production, and to encourage the protection of the natural world, in the
ways we eat, farm and use technology. It also provides the basis for other
online resources we can produce in the future.
Our project coordinator, also took on the role of convener for a course for
ordinands in training. Sadly this course had to be cancelled that year, but
the work done in preparation will be helpful for when she convenes the
course again in future.
We also engaged with church groups, and other groups with the teaching
materials we have produced.
Finally we also began the process of setting up a website to advertise our
