2. Annual Review
STATEMENT
I would first like to start off by congratulating and thanking everyone who has been involved in the success of Darul Elm Community Centre’s development this last year.
Since last year staff, committee members, volunteers and partners have been extremely busy to ensure the sustainability and growth of Darul Elm Community Centre.
Starting with very little donations from the community and the Trustees, we were able to continue working for the community and deliver specialist services.
We do not want to vanish or to stop here. We wish to continue developing Darul Elm Community Centre by providing necessary and demanded services. We wish to be a ‘flagship’ organisation for the Somalis and other African communities in the West Midlands.
Many people and mainstream organisation’s believe we already are or have the potential to be so. This excites me very much and humbles me greatly as I know the struggles we faced from inception.
Finally, as the Chairman of Darul Elm Community Centre I wish to express my appreciation and sincere thanks to everyone who has helped and supported our organization, these include, the Management Committee, volunteers, community members, community leaders, councilors, members of the press and public & private sector organisations.
In particular I would like to thank those individuals who have provided personal donations and would encourage them to continue in order for us to maintain services to the children who attend our Centre.
THANKYOU VERY MUCH EVERYONE!
Ahmed Abdullahi
Chairman
