FALAH EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025 The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2025. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charitie5- Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reponlng Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 102) (effective l January 2015). OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES The purposes of the charity as set out in its governing documenL l. Fulfilling the spiritual and religious need of the Muslim community in Tameside together with serving humanity in general. 2. To advance the education of the public and young people so that they may grow to become good citizens; 3. To relieve financial hardship, distress and suffering among poor people, orphans. victims of natural disasters and those in need by making grants for water, clothing, medical treatmenL rehabilitation and accommodation. The main activities undertaken in relation to those purposes during the period. Falah Educational Society provides Islamic education for boys and girls- presently, 340 students attend during weekday evenings. The syllabus caters for students from age 4 to 16+ Classes include male and female adult classes, revision classe5, special needs classes and weekly assevnblie5. Following requests from parents we have introduced adult classes to enable parents to help their children with their lessons. The Charity's strategie5 for achieving its aims and objectives ID the future. The current building is restrictive due lo it's size as well as cost implications of hiring from the local council. The strategy is to find, then buythire larger premises in order to further the objectives and cater for the wider community. How the activitie5 undertaken during the period contributed to the achievement of the aims and objectives. Good, wholesome theology being tauJt during classe5 to children increases their faith awareness and encourages them to be upright model citizens by providing them with the Knowledge and tools with ivhich to live in modem British society. Fund raising events have contributed towards the achievement of the third objective, i.e.. relieve flnancial hardship. The contribution of volunteer5 during the period. Volunteers support the charity. Without their suppor¢ the charity would not be able to carry out it's objectives. Volunteers play a useful part in supporting with fundralsing. baking for the bake sales, support during football tournaments and training, etc. Some volunteers have administrative role5 in the charity. Much of the running of the charity relie5 on volunteers and good m-.ill. The main achievements and performance of the charity during the period. Another year has been completed. Children have progressed through their classes. Some have completed and graduated from the institute. Page 3

All attendees of classes benefit from the sessions on a daily basis, progressing through their lives. On some occasions, parents attend in order to be supported through personal issues they are going through at home. Occasionally. children with special needs w.ould attend and benefii from the activilies of the charity. Menibers of the community with disabilities attend as a matter of course. The degree to whieh the achievements and performance during the period hai'e benefited wider soeiety. By achieving the objectives of the charity, the wider society benefit greatly. See objectives above. STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MAIYAGEMENT Governing document Falah Educational Society is registered with the Charity commission (Registration Number 1160887) and constituted by the deed of trust. Organisational Structure The Charity trustees are responsible for the general control and management of the charity. The trustees give their time freely and receive no remuneration or other financial benefits. Nots4'.ithstanding the explicit requirement in the extant statutory regulations, the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008, to prepare the financial statements in accordance with the SORP 2005, in view ol the fact that the SORP ?005 has been withdrawn, the Trustee5 determined to interpret this responsibility as requiring them lo follow, current best practice and prepare Ihe accounts according to the FRS 102 SORP (Statenient of Recommended Practice for Accounting and Reporting bj Charitie5) 2015, (a5 amended by the Bulletin issued in February 2016), (The SORP), - In particular, charity law requires the Trustees: if they prepare accounts on an accruals basis, to prepare flnancial statements for each financial year ￿'hICh give a true and fair view of the sthie of affairs of ihe charity as at the end of the financial )wear and of the surplus or deficit of the charity. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity, trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Aci 2011 ('the Act,). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under seciion 145 of the Act and in carying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charitv Comtnission under Section 145(5){b) of the Act.
