REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024
The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2024. The trustees
have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities= Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to
chariiies preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ireland {FRS 102) (effective l January 2015).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
The purposes of the charity as set out in its governing documenL
l. Fulfilling the spiritual and religious need of the Muslim community in Tame5ide together with serving humanity
in general.
2. To advance the education of the public and voung people 50 that they may gTOW to become good citizen5'
3. To relieve financial hardship, dis(ress and suffering among poor people: orphans, victims of natural disasters and
those in need by making grants for water, clothin& medical treatment, rehabilitation and accomlnodation.
The main aetivities undertaken in relation to those purposes during the period.
Falah Educational Society provides 151amic education lor boy5 and girls. presently. 295 studeT]ts attend during
weekday evenings. The syllabus caters for students from age 4 10 164 Classes include male and female adult
classes, revision classes, special needs classes and weekly assemblies. Following requests from parent5 we have
introduced adult classes to enable parents to help their children with their lessons.
The charity's stralegies for achieving its aims and objectives in ihe future.
The current building is restrictive due to ivs size as well as cost implications of hiring from the local council. The
strategy is to find, then buylhire larger premises in order lo further the objectives and cater for the wider community.
How the activities undertaken during the period contributed to the achiei'ement of the aim5 and objectives.
Good, wholesome theology being taught during classes to children increases their faith awareness and encourages
them to be upright model citizens by providing ihem with the knowledge and tools with which to live in modern
British society. Fund rdising events have contributed towards the achievement of the third objective, i.e.. relieve
financial hardship.
The contribution of volunteer5 during the period.
Volunteers SUPPOrt the charity. Without their 5UPPOrt. the charity M'.ould not be able to carry out it'5 objectives.
Volunteers play a useful part in supporting ￿'1[h ￿ndraisIng, bakin£ for the bake sales, support during football
tournaments and training, etc. Some volunteers have administrative roles in the charity.
Much of the running of the charity relies on volunteer5 and good will.
The main aehievements and performance of the charity during the period.
Another year has been completed. Children have progressed through their cla55es. Some have completed and
graduated from the institute.
The difference the charity's performance during the period has made to the beneficiaries of the charitv.

All attendees of classes benefit from the sessions on a daily basis. progressing through their lives. On some
occasions, parents attend in order io be supported through personal issues they are going through at home.
Occasionally.. children with special needs would attend and benefit from the activities of the charity. Members of the
community with disabilities attend as a matter of course. Two ex-pupils are volunteering for their Duke of
Edinburgh Awards.
The degree to which the achievements and performance during the period have benefited wider soeiety.
By achieving the objectives of the Charity, the wider society benefit greatly. See objectives above.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Falah Educational Society is registered M'ith the Charity commission (Registration Number 1160887) and constituted by the
deed of trust.
Organisalional Structure
The Charity trustees are responsible for the general control and management of the charity. The trustees give their time
freely and receive no remuneration or other financial benefits. The trustees meet together as a bod}, quarterly and are
responsible for all decision taken in relaiing to running the organisaiion facilities and the activities provided by the charity

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES'S RESPONSIBILITIES
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the tern]s of the Charities Act
201 l and the Charitie5 (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008. Notsl'ithstanding the explicit requirement in the extant
statutory regulations. the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008, to prepare the financial statements in
accordance with the SOiiP 2005, in view ol the fact that the SORP 2005 has been withdrawn, the Trustees determined to
interpret this responsibility as requiring (hem (o follo￿, current best practice and prepare the accounts according to the FRS
I o? SOiiP (Statement of Recommended Practice for Accounting and Reporting by Charitie5} 2015, {as amended by the
Bulletin issued in February 2016), (The SORP), -
In particular, charity law requires the Trnstees, if they prepare accounts on an accruals basis, to prepare financial statements
for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity as at the end of the financial year
and of the surplus or deficit of the charity. In preparing those financial statements the Trustees are required to :_
to prepare the accounts in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (United
Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable laiv).

The law requires that the trustees must not approve the accounts unless thei-' are satisfIed that they give a true and fair view
of the state of affairs of the charity and of the surplus or deficii of the charilTr for the year.
The Trustees are also responsible for maintaining adequate accounting records which disc105e with reasonable accurdc}' at
any time the financial position of ihe charity and H.hi¢h are suificient to show and explain the charity's transactions and
enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with regulations made under the Charities Act 201 l. They are
also responsible lor safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and
detection of fraud and other irregularities.
The Trustees are also responsible for the contents of the Trustees. repor¢ and the statutory responsibility of the Independent
Examiner in relation to the Trustees, report is limited to examining ihe ￿port and ensuring that , on the face of the report,
there are no material inconsistencies with the figures disclosed in the financial statements.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Falah Educational Society
I report to the chariiy trustees on my examinaiion of the accounts of ihe Falah Educational Society for the year ended 31
March 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,).
I report in respect of my examinalion of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my
examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5}(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statetnent
I have compleied my examinalion. I confirni that no malerial matters have come to my attention in connection with the
examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect..
accounting records were not kept in respect olthe Trust as required by section 130 of the Act. or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or
3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the forn] and content of accounts set out in the
Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regula(ions 2008 other than an￿ requiremeni that the accounts give a true and fair view
which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
