Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document

In planning our activities, we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our Trustee meetings

After the first Covid lockdown we were advised by Lincolnshire County Council that we would not be allowed to open the Youth Club nor as a community centre.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

As lockdown eased permission was given to open our building for the use of the Playgroup whose new building was still not agreed. During a short period In the summer some Youth Clubs did reopen but with the Covid regulations in place and different requirements for Playgroup and for us it would have meant that time constraints would not allow us to open.

We have not opened since, due initially to lockdown and now the extended opening hours that Playgroup had been told they must open. Looking forward, we hope to have our building back by the end of June when we will start from the beginning again.

You may choose to include additional information, where relevant about:

Once again, our main source of funding has been from Bardney Playgroup.

We received grants from West Lindsey District Council and Lincolnshire County Council Youth Services which have paid for Covid related equipment and will help us to relaunch and restock the Youth Club Tuck Shop when we reopen.

We had decided that we would pay our Youth Leaders wages before furlough was announced. Although we have claimed for the furlough, we have paid them 100% of their wages.

Section F Other optional information

Because of the amount of time that we have been closed and also that we have not had the building to ourselves, we feel that our opening later this year will be a new beginning. We need to advertise for Volunteers and Trustees to move forward.

Section G Declaration

The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above.
