**The educational objectives of the**
**school’s curriculum are carried out**
**based on the Core Curriculum of 2020,**
**prepared by the Ministry of Education of**
**the Republic of Poland.**
**A total of 25 textbooks, graded by age,**
**are used to deliver the Polish language,**
**history, geography and religious**
**education parts of the curriculum, with**
**novels and films used in the exam-level**
**classes.**
**In the period of this report there were**
**special lessons as follows:**
**April:**
**A Polish-speaking police officer visited**
**the school and spoke to some of the**| **younger classes on the importance of road safety. The culture and heritage objectives of the school’s programme for 2024-2025 were highlighted by the following events: - October: Teachers’ Day, celebrating the work and dedication of the school’s teaching staff. November: Commemoration of Poland’s Independence Day with events at the school and at the Polish Church Hall. December: Visit of St Nicholas (the Polish Father Christmas) to the school. January: Annual Nativity Play performed by school students for the local community at the Polish Church Hall. May: Annual celebration of the Polish 3[rd] of May Constitution at the Polish Church Hall. Hosting and co-organising for the second year running the Northern England Regional Finals of the Polish Educational Society’s National Poetry Recital Competition for Polish schools in the UK. June: Summer Family Fete, a family fun day for students and parents as part of the ‘Polish Heritage Days’ initiative of the Polish Embassy and Consulates in the UK. The event welcomed several members of the St Paul’s school staff as well those from the local community who hire St Paul’s sports facilities on a Saturday. Also participating were local Fire and Resue Service personnel with two appliances and Greater Manchester Police officers from the Tactical Aid Unit with their vehicle.** **As a separate special mention, in October 2024 the school celebrated the culmination of its 75[th] Anniversary programme by holding a Jubilee Grand Ball, with the participation of the Polish Consul General in Manchester, Polish Television and guests from across the community, including current and past teaching staff and volunteers and former students.** |||| |---|---|---| |Statement confirming

**counting towards points for university**
**applications.**
**As mentioned earlier in this report, the**
**school encourages its graduates to**
**volunteer at the school and for the**
**reporting period, two of these returned**
**to help as teaching assistants in the**

Stanisława Kostki** ## **Examiner’s report on the unaudited accounts to** ## **The Polish Saturday School in Manchester** My examination is carried out in accordance with UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken in an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements to keep accounting records or to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the UK Generally accepted Accounting Practice have not been met, or to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
