## **ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE**

## ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE

Charitable activities

The 49th Annual URS Mubarak was held at the Darbar Unique Centre during March 2023.

Ramadan was also a very emotionally filled month with special prayers being held for the good health and Safety of His Holiness, whose physical presence and golden words were greatly missed by all those Devotees and Attendees.

We continued with our burial charitable work in order to commence with the preliminary planning processes and collate some feedback from the council in order to allow a future application submission. We had some excellent support from our devotees and donors to assist with this 1st stage. As always, we also celebrated the Birth of our beloved Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) with many people attending the function to listen to the Message and the Life of our Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him).

A Naat Programme (expression of love and praises) and langar was served to all those who made this event a success. Various smaller spiritual gatherings were also held during the important Islamic months and in particular during Ramadhaan (fasting month) where the arrangements to break the fast was provided every day. Eid, marking the end of the fasting month was celebrated where the young children under supervision were encouraged to cook and provide food to those who live near the Darbar Unique Centre area.

We aim to strive for equality, respect, love and caring for all in all walks of life and peace around the world.

During July we had various discussions and talks on the HAJ Pilgrimage to MAKKA. This Eid marks the Festival of Sacrifice. This encourages us to submit to the will of Our Creator, Allah. As practiced by Abraham, willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael.

## Darbar Unique Centre-SPP Independent Examiners Report to the Trustees For the year ended 31 March 2023

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2023.

## **Responsibilities and basis of report**

As the charity trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the 2011 Act').

I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

## **Independent examiners statement**

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by section 130 of the 2011 Act; or

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair view' which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
