The charltles objectives are to provide transport faalities In RIchmondshi￿ for people who
have speclal need of such faalities because they are elderly, poor or disabled, people with
young children or those Ilving In i501ated areas where there are no adequate transport
facilitles.
Durlng 2021122 we received Income from the Government to act as a Community Hub to
support residents in Swaledale, Arkengarthdale and the surroundin8 area by delivering
prescriptions and shopping to vulnerable re51dents. Our group of 40 volunteers also
provided a networvbuddy system to help those In Isolatlon.
The Trustees confirm that they have complied with the requirements of Section 4 of the
Charlties Art 2011 to have due regard to the public benefitguidance published by the
Charities Commission for England and Wale5.

The Charlws attivities expose it to a number of finanaal risks induding credit rlsk, cash flow
risk and liquldity risk. The use of finanaal derI￿dtiveS is governed by the charitys policies
approved by the board of trustees which provide written prlnciples on the use of finandal
derivafjves to manage these rlsks. The charlty does not Use derivatlve finandal instruments
for speculatlve purposes.

The charltys prlnclpal finandal assets are bank balances and cash, trade and other
recelvables, and investments. The charl￿5 credlt risk is prlmarlly attrlbutsble to Its trade
re￿1vableS. The amounts presented in balance sheet are net of allowances for doubtful
receivables. An allowan￿ for Impalrment is made where there Is an identifiable loss event
which, based on prevlous experience, is evidence of a reductlon In the recoverability of the
cashflows.

counterparties are banks wlth hl8h credltntln85 35518ned by Internatlonal credit-rating
agencies.
The charlty has no sl8nificant concentralion of credlt rlsk, wlth exposure spread over a large
number of counterpartles and customers.
Reserves Pollry
As at 31 March 2022 the charitsble company's reserves of £T7,725 were unrestrlcted. The
trustees perlodlcally review the level of reserves. The review takes Into account income and
expendlture streams. The trustees. objective Is to build up reserves to fund a replacement
bus and to help fund the servlce we provide for the residents In Richmondshlre for future
years On￿ government fundin8 sources deplete.

Donatlons and le8ades
Donations are reco8nised when the chartty has been notrfied in writing of both the amount and
settlement date. In the event that a donation ts sublect to conditions that require a level of
performance by the tharity before the charity is entitled to the funds, the income is deferred and
nol recognised until eilher those conditions are fulty met, or the fulfilment of thos conditions 15
wholly within ihe control of the charlty and it is probable that these conditions will be fulfilled
In the reportin8 period,
Grants recelvable
Grants are recognised when the chartty has an entit￿meTht to the lunds and any condltions
Ilnked to the Brants have been met. Where performance condrtions are attached to the grant and
ar eyet to be met, the income is recognised as a liability and included on the balance sheet as
deferred Income to be released.
Expendlture
All expenditure Is ￿￿gnISed once there Is a le8al or construrtlve obli8ation to that expenditure,

These Include the costs attributable to the charrty's compllance with constitutional and statutory
requirement5. includln8 aud5t, strategic management and trustee'5 rneetlngs and relmbursed
expenses.
Government grants
Government 8rant5 are reco8nised based on ihe accrual model and are measured at the fair value
of the asset recelved or receivable. Grants are classrfied as relating either to revenue or to assets.
Grants relatinE to revenue are recogni5ed in income over the period in which the related ¢05ts are
recogni5ed. Grants relating to assets are rec￿nISed over the experted useful lrfe of the asset.
Where part of a grant relating to an a￿et 15 deferred, it is reco8ni5ed as deferred income.

Taxation
The charity is considered to pa55 the tests set out in Paragraph I Schedule 6 of the Finance Act 2010
and therefore it meets the definition of a charitable company for UK corporation tax purposes.
Accordingly, the charty is potentially exempt frpm taxation in respect of income or capital gains
received within categories covered by Chapter 3 Part 11 of the Corporation Tax Act 2010 or
Section 256 of the Taxation of Chargeable Gain5 Art 1992, to the extent that such income or gains
are applied exclusively to charitable purposes.

Trade debtors are amount5 due from customers for merchandise sold or services perfomied in the
ordinary course of business.
Trade debtors are recognised initially at the transadion price. They a￿ subsequently measured

for the impairfflent of trade debtorsls establlshed when there Is objective evidence that the
charity will not be able to collect all amounts due according to the original temis of the receivables.
Cash and cash •qulvalents
Cash and cash equivalents comprise cash on hand and call deposits. and other short term hl8hly
Ilquid inbestments that are rÈadily convertible to a known amount of cash and are subject to an
Ins18nificant risk of chan8e in value.
Trade credStors
Trade creditors are obllgations to pay for 8oods or 5er¥ices that have been acquired in the
ordinary course of business from suppliers. Accounts payable are classified as current liabilities
If the charity does not have an unconditional right , at the end of the reporting period, to defer
settlement of the creditor for at least twelve months after the reportin8 date. If there is an
unconditional right to defer settlement for at least twefve months after the rer)ortin8 date. they
are presented a5 non-current liabilities.

Unrestricted income funds are 8eneral funds that are available for use at the trustee's dlscretion in
