It is the policy of LWRCC to appoint Trustees who are mature individuals with considerable skills in management and marketing having qualifications and gained experience by holding responsible positions outside LWRCC. 

LWRCC is a member of the National Federation of Music Societies (Making Music) who act as our Insurance Broker and also provide information and support regarding legal and artisitic developments with regards to Music Societies. 

LWRCC is associated with the London Welsh Rugby Club providing fund raising support to the Amateur section of that organisation and the London Welsh Trust by amongst other activities donating a prize to the runner up of the Young Welsh Singer of the Year and benefitting from the network of contacts provided by these two organisations. 

The Trustees have monthly management meetings to consider prospective engagements and ensure that any risks are mitigated by obtaining deposits and ensuring that the costs associated with these engagements  are matched with income derived from the engagements 

Quarterly Accounts are preparedon an Accrual basis in order to monitor the financial condition of the Choir and are tabled and consisered by the Management Committee and Trustees

The objects of the LWRCC are-: 1)To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in,and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspect by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals with a focus on Welsh Choral Music; 

2)To further such charitable purposes as the trustees in their absolute discretion shall think fit but in particular through the the making of grants and donations.

In planning our activities for the year we keep in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustees meetings. 

The focus of our activities is to encourage the appreciation of Welsh Choral Music by giving regular concerts in support of many charitable causes and planning tours within the UK and Oversea to the same end.

Providing Welsh Choral Music and formal ceremonies such as funerals , memorials and weddings of those who want such important ceremonies in the Welsh Idiom. 

Through our contact in the Welsh Community being responsive to the needs of students of Welsh Music and other needful Welsh causes by making donations and supporting cultural events against strict criteria. 

All trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other benefits

Section D                  Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

We performed at 8 Concert Engagements during the period these being at Cranleigh,Westerham,Chiswick,Home Guard Club Richmond, 2 Joint Concerts with Flint Ladies and Gwalia plus 2 Events for the London Welsh Rugby Club at Deer Park which were Free of Charge. 

All of these activities promoted our objectives in developing and promoting public interest in Male Choral Music especially that in the Welsh Tradition and in the process raised funds for the many well deserving Charities which requested our services 

In addition we performed of at 3 weddings and one 90[th] Birthday Party at the request of Welsh Families to provide Welsh Choral Music at these most important  ceremonies and again following our objective in promoting the Welsh Choral Tradition. 

We finally carried out our Concert Tour of Spain performing at a Large Church in Cadiz and at Jerez Cathedral, the tour was a great success both musically and socially. 

We resumed our monthly rehearsal schedule to polish up and extend our repertioire but in addition supplemented this activity by providing a “Zoom” link to those who coud not attend due to geography or illness.

## **Section E                    Financial review** 

We currently hold cash at the bank of £31,190 all of which is in **Brief statement of the** unrestricted funds. These funds are held in order to meet the **charity’s policy on** costs of the 2023 tour of Italian tour to Rome and to invest in **reserves** anew recording to take place in April 2023 meet the running costs of the Choir, rehearsals, accompanists, hall hire and music costs and to finance the set up costs for UK and future International Tours.and to meet any unexpected costs which may occur

The main sources of funds have been fees received our concert You **may choose** to include and social engagements in addition  resumed our annual additional information, membership subscription after the “holiday” due to Covid. where relevant about: 

- the charity’s principal In addition we once more received a very generous donation 

- sources of funds from a  friend of the Choir to encourage our the pursuit of our 

- (including any Choral activities Wales and South London. fundraising); 

- how expenditure has supported the key objectives of the charity; 

Our Expenditure included a donation to support the Amateur Section of the London Welsh Rugby Club 

- investment policy and objectives including any ethical investment policy adopted.

We have adopted the use of the Internet “Zoom” for our monthly Management and Trustees meetings, this has been a great success overcoming the need for members to travel a long way for these meetins
