manage them.|It is the policy of LWRCC to appoint Trustees who are mature individuals with considerable
skills in management and marketing having relevant qualifications and gained experience
by holding or have held responsible positions outside LWRCC.
LWRCC is a member of the National Federation of Music Societies (AKA Making Music)
who act as our Insurance Broker and also provide information and support regarding legal
and artistic developments with regards to Music Societies
LWRCC is associated with the London Welsh Rugby Club providing fund raising support to
the Amateur section of that organisation and to the London Welsh Trust, amongst other
activities donating a prize to the Young Welsh Singer of the Year competition and
benefitting from the network work of contacts provided by these two organisations.
The Trustees have monthly management meetings to consider prospective engagements
and to ensure that we obtain deposits and that the costs associated with these
engagements are matched with income derived from them in order to mitigate any risks.
Monthly Accounts are prepared on a Receipts and Payments basis in order to monitor the
financial condition of the Choir and are tabled and considered by the Management
Committee and Trustees at their monthly Meeting. Accrual Accounts are also prepared on
an Annual Basis and submitted to the AGM for approval by the members. These are
inspected and reviewed by a qualified Accountant on an Annual Basis.|

In planning our activities for the year we keep in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustees meetings.
The focus of our activities is to encourage the appreciation of Welsh Choral Music by giving regular concerts in support of many charitable causes and planning tours within the UK and Oversea to the same end.
Providing Welsh Choral Music for formal ceremonies such as funerals , memorials and weddings of those who want such important ceremonies conducted in the Welsh Idiom.
Through our contact in the Welsh Community being responsive to the needs of students of Welsh Music and other Welsh causes by making donations and supporting cultural events against strict criteria.

Section D Achievements and performance
## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**
Our activity has been severely limited by the impact of the Covid-19 crisis and as result we only had three public engagements and only one generated income (the opening of the Redwood Sports Pub) the other two were performed free of charge LWRC and Singing in the Stars at Lambeth Palace.
All of these engagements promoted our objectives of developing and promoting public interest in Male Choral Music especially that in the Welsh Tradition and the free of charge concerts for two well deserved Charities.
We had planned a concert tour of Cadiz/Jerez in Spain in 2020 but this had to be postponed because of the Covid Crisis originally to May 2021 but has had to be further postponed to late 2021 or even to 2022 depending on the suppression of the epidemic and our consequent ability to travel overseas.
Again our rehearsal activity had to be reduced and modified because of the Covid situation, we used the Welsh Centre for two novel socially distanced rehearsals but using Zoom technology as an outreach to those not able to attend and also had a number of rehearsals exclusively using Zoom. In this way we were able to preserve and sustain our choral skills and repertoire.
In view of the difficult financial situation arising from the epidemic we arranged to advance a retainer to our accompanist, paid for our rehearsal venue hire in advance and are suspending our membership annual subscription for 2021.

We currently hold cash at the bank amounting to £31,576.50 all of which are unrestricted **Brief statement of the** funds.
