Governance Changes
This year saw some changes to our Board of Trustees. After two years of dedicated service,
Russell Down stepped down in luly 2025, and we warmly thank him for his invaluable
contributions. At the same time, we were delighted to welcome back Allan Pirrie, whose
previous experience and commitment to WOPWA will strengthen our governance team.
These changes. along.%ide the continued dedication of our trusteesj provide a stable

highlight the warmth of our community, the quality of our food, and the importance of the
friendships fostered here.
We have hosted a number of local dignitaries for lunch over the year, keeping our profile
high in the local community. And l am delighted to report that we have also been shortlisted

Looking Forward
Our priorities for the coming year include:
Securing grant funding to supplement our income and reduce reliance on fundraising.
Developing marketing and outreach to attract new members and supporters,
Maintaining our facilities and minibus, ensuring accessibility and comfort for all who
attend.
Continuing fundraising planning for a replacement minibus over the next two to three
years.

supporters. Your dedication and generosity make WOPWA a place of warmth and
connection. l also thank my fellow trustees for their commitment and leadership through a
