Revlow of activltle8
It has been another exciting year for Church on the Weald, with a number of Changes where Y￿ have
seen God's working and provision for us as a church family.
Sunday morning meetings continued in Tenterden Junior School until January 2025. We thank the
leadership and caretaking teams at the school for how well they served us while we have met there. We
made many connections With local families in the community through our partnership with the school,
and vrfe trust these vthll continue.
Towards the end of 2024, an opportunity arose to start renting the 'old' Methodist church building in
Tenterden High Street following the closure of the Methodist congregation and meetings there. We had
our first Sunday morning meeting there on 26 January 2025. The trustees and elders are now prayerfully
exploring with the local and national Methodist teams whether there is an opportunity for Church on the
Weald to purchase the building directly. This is clearly an exciting time for the church family, and further
discussions aboLrt how to finan￿ this potential purchase through gift days. onethoff donations, increased
regular giving, and extemal financing will all be given significantly more prayer and time over the coming
months. In the meantime, we have settled in well to the building and are already blessed by not needing
to do a full set-up and pack-down each week. among other benefitsl
As mentioned, prayer continues to be the foundation of all that we do. There is the opportunty for
members of the church family to meet weekly for early moming prayer on Tuesdays via Zoom and
fortnightly in person on Sunday evenings, as well as 24-hours of prayer days at least tiNice during the
year. Life groups, including the 'Closer' ladies. group that meets fortnightly on Monday momings, have
gone from strength to strength.
