Heart 4 Harlow Charity Number 1160547 Trustee's Report For The Year Ended 31 December 2025 The Trustees present our report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025 Statement of Trustee's Responsibilities The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations. In preparing the financial statements the trustees are required to: select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently. make judgments and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent. prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the company will continue in business. The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the company's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charity Commission. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. Heart 4 Harlow Trustee's Vision For The Year Ended 31 December 2025 Vision Church and Community Working Together God has a heart to bless the whole community of Harlow. In and through its partnerships, Heart 4 Harlow seeks to express through words and deeds the love of God shown to us in Jesus Christ. We celebrate the gift of our life together with gratitude and praise We pray for the well-being of the town and surrounding rural communities through Commerce and Entrepreneurs; Civic Authorities; the College. University and Schools; Charities and Churches. We work together with all people of goodwill for the benefit of others We encourage all in the service of our communities and in the strengthening of family life 4 We seek to challenge all that harms our life together Seeking to do all to the glory of God in Jesus Christ's name. Review of 2025 including Public Benefit We were pleased to welcome Rev lokey Poyntz as a trustee on 22 May 2025, and we were thankful for the encouragement and contribution she has brought to the life of Heart 4 Harlow. During 2025 there was a transition in leadership. Ron Kingsmill stepped down from his role as Chair. We gave thanks for Ron's commitment and leadership, and we were pleased that he continued to serve the charity in the role of Treasurer. Ben Norris took on the role of Chair during 2025, and the Trustees worked closely together to strengthen the charity's governance and effectiveness. It was a positive and encouraging year for Heart 4 Harlow, with a number of successful events that enabled engagement with churches and the wider community across Harlow. During 2025 we: Organised the Walk With The Cross event on Good Friday 2025, providing a public witness of the Christian faith in the town centre. Hosted a Mental Health Friendly Churches Forum on 19th July 2025, bringing churches and community members together to explore mental health awareness and support. Continued to hold regular prayer meetings, both online and in person, encouraging unity and prayer across local churches. Hosted Christmas Carols at BB'S Cafe on 7 December 2025, featuring guest singer Noel Robinson, creating an open and welcoming space for members of the public to engage with the Christmas message. In December 2026 we held the first of three community consultation evenings, where church leaders, members, and partners were invited to take part in a consultation to discuss the future direction of Heart 4 Harlow. It was a positive evening, with strong engagement and a number of helpful and creative ideas shared that will inform future planning. Throughout the year we continued the review of Policies and Procedures. Responsibilities were shared more widely among the Trustees in order to spread the load and strengthen accountability. Further improvements were made to the website and methods of communication to better connect with churches and the wider public with a view to revamp these in 2026. Independent Examiners Report For The Year Ended 31 December 2025 Heart 4 Harlow Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner The Charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the account's. The Charity's Trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 114 (2) of the Charities Act 2001 (The Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to Examine the accounts (under section 145 of the 2011 Act). To follow the procedures laid down in the General Dirertions given by the Charity Commissioners (under settion 145 (5)(b) of the 2011 Att). and To state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of Independent examiner's Statement My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes considerations of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. Independent examiner'5 Statement In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention: (l) Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material spert, the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that: -Proper accounting records are kept (in accordance with settion 386 of the 2006 Act; and -accounts are prepared which agree with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirnents of the 2006 Act; or (2) To which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
