Revlew of 2024 Including Public Benefit
We were pleased to welcome onto the Trustees Ben Norris in February, and he has
already proved a great asset to the team.
We glve thanks for Martin Harrls who served as chair from the formation of the
charity until he stepped down in June 2024, as he approached his retirement.
Ron Kingsmill was elected Chair in August 2024. Since his elertion we have been
reviewing how Heart 4 Harlow operates. We have begun a review of Policies and
Procedures which will continue through 2025. We are also reviewing the
administration and management of the charity in order to 'spread the load, between
the Trustees. We are also making changes to our website and methods of
communication.
During 2024 we:.
Organised the Walk with the Cross event on Good Friday, 29th March 2024.
Hosted a stall at the Great Get Together summer event on the 6th July.
Continued to host weekly zoom and monthly face to face prayer meetlngs.
4 Hosted a meetlng between our newly elected MP, Chris Vince, and mlnlsters
from different churches in Harlow in December.
A declsion was made not to hold a Chrsitmas celebration in 2024, to give us time to
review its purpose and consider whether It continues, and if so in what format.
We are thankful to God for the opportunity to engage with Churches and their
members across Harlow, as well as many other members of the public who attended
our events or artivities.

Respective responslbilities of trustees and examiner
The Charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the account's. The
Charity's Trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section
114 (2) of the Charities Act 2001 (The Act) and that an independent examination is
needed.
It is my responsibility to
Examine the accounts (under section 145 of the 2011 Act);
To follow the procedures la id down in the General Directions given by the
Charity Commissioners (under sertion 145 (5)(b) of the 2011 Att); and
To state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's Statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by
the Charlty Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting
records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those
records. It also includes consideratlons of any unusual items or disclosures in the
accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be
required in an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the vlew
given by the accounts.
Independent examlner's statement
In the course of my examinatlon, no matter has come to my attention:
(l) Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material ￿SpeCt, the
trustee5 have not met the requirements to ensure that:
-Proper accounting records are kept (In accordance with settion 386 of the 2006 Act;
and
-accounts are prepared which agree with the accounting records and comply with the
accounting requirements of the 2006 Att. or
(2) To which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper
understanding of the accounts to be reached.
