## **Vision**

## **Church and Community Working Together**

- **God has a heart to bless the whole community of Harlow. In and through its partnerships, Heart 4 Harlow seeks to express through words and deeds the love of God shown to us in Jesus Christ.**

- **We celebrate the gift of our life together with gratitude and praise**

- **We pray for the well-being of the town and surrounding rural communities through Commerce and Entrepreneurs; Civic Authorities; the College; University and Schools; Charities and Churches.**

- **We work together with all people of goodwill for the benefit of others**

- **We encourage all in the service of our communities and in the strengthening of family life**

- **We seek to challenge all that harms our life together**

- **Seeking to do all to the glory of God in Jesus Christ’s name.**

## **Review of 2021 including Public Benefit**

Through the year we have continued the process of developing the work of Heart 4 Harlow in 5 Core areas.

-

- Commerce (Shops, Business and Agriculture)

- Civic (Local Authority and Councillors, MP, Police and Fire Services)

- Arts, Culture, Education and Sport (Schools, College and UCH, Arts associations, Sports clubs and associations)

- Health & Wellbeing (Charities and Community Groups, NHS and the care sector)

- Churches and Chaplaincy

During a year when Lockdown Restrictions in relation to the COVID pandemic were constantly changing, Heart 4 Harlow adapted through the year. An Easter and Pentecost Service was organised online, along with the monthly prayer gatherings. It was decided not to go ahead with our Christmas gathering due to the level of infections at the time.

The five Core Groups listed above did their best to stay connected, but inevitably were restricted in what they were able to do.

Extensive work was done on a new version of the Heart 4 Harlow Awards, with nominations receive from April to November and decisions about shortlists, winners and runners up made in December, in preparation for an Awards Celebration in the New Year.

During the year the Mauricio and Sibele, Chaplains at the College, stepped down. Heart 4 Harlow was then instrumental in the appointment of a new, chaplain, Shaun Moore.

As agreed with Trustees
