Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed for a Trustee selection methods three-year term by a resolution passed by a 75% majority at a properly (eg. appointed by, elected by) convened meeting of the charity trustees. In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the charity trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO.

Section C Objectives and activities
Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
The objects of the NUHA Foundation are the advancement of education for the public benefit in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, including but without limitation by designing and running annual competitions such as annual writing competitions open to all anywhere in the world which will:

promote original and critical thinking on and interaction around questions of education; and

promote the self-confidence of non-native speakers of the language of the competition to write in that language as a means of developing their ability to participate in a global knowledge society.

The main activity undertaken by the NUHA Foundation was to run the Blogging Prizes, namely an annual writing competition designed in accordance with the objects of the charity, as set out above. The Blogging Prizes were held annually from 2011 to 2019, before being interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope to resume them again in the next financial/reporting year.
We confirm the trustees had regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.

Section D Achievements and performance
NUHA Foundation’s volunteer team was adversely affected by the Summary of the main pandemic, and the main operations continue to be on hold. However, the achievements of the charity hope is to resume its activities in the next financial/reporting year. during the year

Section E Financial review We hold around £2,500 in a savings account, which earns interest. These Brief statement of the funds are held in order to meet future expenditures in relation to the charity’s policy on reserves development and expansion of the charity and to also meet any unforeseen expenditure that may occur.
