objectiV8s for the public benefft to improve the Ilves of children figming
ependymoma and to seek a pemianent cure In the future. The charlty
invites appltcatons for research grants from highly regarded experts and
leaders in the field of paediatrlc ependymorna r8search. We liaise with
the AMRC wlth a vwi to galnlng membershlp In Ihe near future.

Achievemeiits and performance
Throughout 2023 we concentrated on building up funds as well as
supporting researth.
In January we donated a further £34.000 to support a Research Assistant
under lead chlldren's epend￿nOrna expert Professor Grundy. who will
Ip the Ependymoma Multidisciplinary Advisory Group by collecting data
with a view to setting up a vital Clinical Trial for relapsed ependymoma in
children. We expect further updates throughout 2024 on thls.
We continued to raise funds by holding a successful Charity Rodd Metal
event which raised £1700
Our fantsstic supporters ar(yJnd the county took part in events induding
a London to Brfghton Blke Rlde, Charlty Penalty Shoot out . Wellrun 10k
Marathon as well as a mutl actlvlty challenges and made very generous
donalions via our donating pathway8.
We recelved a generous grant of £5.500 from The Shears Foundatlon
and continue to app￿ to Foundations as and when applicable.
We raised awareness by publishing our annual EPENDYHUB magazine
which we distribute worfdwide in accordance with GDPR guidelines.
We Were Imilted to place our Fighting Ependymoma Christrnas Tree of
Inspiration at st Peterfs Church, Harrogate whlch featured over120
names of chlldren wort(hvldè affected by ependymoma whlch Is a popular
event for raising awareness.
The charity have been invited into the College of Benefactors at
Nottingham Universty in recognition of our supporters outstanding
contributlon to research.
The One Lottery continues to help give a sustainable income and we
continue to promote this via leaflet distribution and social media.
We continue to wn ourjustgiving platfomi.
We operate a text glvlng seDAc8 vla DONR.
We hav8 a social medla presen(x across facebook and twitter with over
6000 followers.
We have a website kindly gffted by Mr t)ortan Robinson whith is being
updated.
The charity is a member of The British Neuro on￿￿OgY Sodety and Es
acknowledged by18TA on their website.
We have iolned the Fundralslng Regulalor and strengtsned our
complalnts procedure.
We have updated our Safeguarding policy and established a Diversty
policy all subject to review.
The Trustees are satisfied wtlh the PTogress of the charity and are
Indebted to all our supporters and donor5 who work tirelessly to improve
outcomes for children fighting ependymoma.
