The charity has four Trustees who meet regularly {at least three times a
year in accordance with the criteria set out in The Trust Deed).
At the meetings Trustees agree the broad strategy of the charity including
risk management, fundraising, monitoring of grants and perforTnance.
The Trustees have received copies of Charity Commission News -Issue
65 as instructed
All Trustees as of 8th January 2015 have signed a Trustee Declaration
Form outlining Trustee eligibility, responsibility and conflict of inlerest that
the law requires.
The charity is still with the Co-operative bank and updated this infornation
on The Charities Commission website in accordance with guidelines.
All Trustees give their tirne freely and no Trustee renumeration was paid in
the year.
The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is
exposed especially in relation to the operations and finances lo the charity
and are satisfied thal systems are in place lo mitigale any exposure lo the
major risks.

development of research into practical applications for the prevention.

The ch￿lty has established its grant making FKJliry to achieve its
objectives for the public benefft to improve th8 lives of children fightlng
ependYM￿ and to seek a pennanent ￿re in the future. The charlty
invites applications for research grdnts from highly regarded experts and
leaders in the fiekl of paediatric epentyThoma research. We liaise with
the AMRC with a view to gaining membership in the near future.

Throughout 2022 we concentraled on building up funds as well as
supporting research.
In January Y￿ donat8d a furth8r £5,000 to support a Research Asslstant
under lead children's ependymoma expert Professor Grundy. who will
help the Ependymoma Multidisciplinary Advisory Group by collectlng data
with a vlew to setting up a vital Clinlcal Trlal for relapsed ependymoma in
chlldren.
We contlnued to raise funds by holdirvJ a successful Charfty Rockl Metal
event vthich raised £1500.
Our fantastic supporters around the country took part in events including
a Boxing Day Dlp and Dress Down Days as V￿11 as a muti activity
challenge and made very generous donations via our donatlng pathways.
We received a gènerous grant of £5,000 from The Liz and Tery Bramall
Foundation and continue to appty to Foundatlons as and when
appllcable.
We ralsed awareness by publlshlng our annual EPENDYHUB magazine
which we dlstrlbute In accordanc8 wlth GDPR guldelines.
We dkl our Fighting Ependymoma Chrlstmas Tree of Inspiration at St
Peterfs Church, Ha￿gate whlch featured over 80 names of children
worldwide affected by ependymoma which 18 a popu18r 8vent for ralslng
awaren8SS.
We Jolned the One Lottery whlch helps to glv8 a sustalnable Income and
conUnu8 to promote thls vla leatlet dlstribution and social media.
We have partner8d wlth Skyllne for The Brlghton 2 London Charfty Blke
Rkle next year vlth a team of 10+ .

## **Independent examiner's report to the trustees of FIGHTING EPENDYMOMA The Chris Bramhall Children's Brain Tumour Research Charity** 

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the FIGHTING EPENDYMOMA The Chris Bramhall Children's Brain Tumour Research Charity (the Trust) for the year ended 31st December 2022. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act'). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying  out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or 

3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
