Autssm specific counselling-
ALAGIAutism Hub have delivered over 5(X) Counsdling sessions during the ￿pOrting period.
We offer weekly &10 sessions per d￿nt. We have increased our capa(ity by increasing
number of counselling slots available and sessions offered. Following th8 pandemic. we
have received an increased number of self-referrals, as well as referrals from mental health
services and have been dealing with cases of increased complexity which require additional
sessions and support.
C8saworf( & Advocacy support-
We provide advocacy for Servi￿ user5 who require support to navigate and liaise with
external services and 6yStems ié. Bénefft daims, housing. adult social care etc. Our aim is to
work with external ag8nci8S to make reasonable adjustments and offer consultation on
creating autism4nfonned pathways for our u8er8 to ac¢e88.
Training-
The Autism HublAIAG received funding to deliver fve Auiism Awarene88 Training (AAT)

practice and knowledge amongst front-line staff. This can include practitioners. customer

and feedback. We hav8 consutted on C￿produ¢#I0n projects with NHS England, with
Camden and Islington Counol's seNices. The Barbican and Tate Modem to name a few.
Relaxed spaces newsletter-
Monthly newsletter launthed in October 2022 One of the aims especially in the mldst of the
cost-of-INing crisis. has been to support our users to access their communty to reduce
consumption of heatIn￿electriC costs but most importantly reduce isolation and the impact
this has on mental healih and wellbeing. Wrth the support of one of our volunteers, VR have
now launched a montnty newsletter that inform¥ our users of autism friendly and relaxed
spaces geared towards adults all around LorKlon. This includes tr￿atre8. museums,
cinemas, exhibitions, perfomiances eta Often these are erther free or concessionary fee
applies. ive corrtinue to expand the newslett8r arKI work in collaboration with the various
vendors to ensure they receive constructive feedback to improve user acce88 an
experience.
Post-pandemic service deliv8ry and (x>st of living crisis-
During the he￿ht of the pandemic, many autistic adults reported increased levels of anxiety,
isolation, bereavement. disrupts'on to routines. drfficulty accessing health and mental health
services, housing issues. and employment issues. In response. ALAGIAutism Hub initiated
the Covid Response Project supported by Camden and Islington local authorities and
adapted all its seNices to be delivered virtually or by t8k8phon8 in order to reath our users
during lockdown.

ALAG
autism
hub
Post-pandemic era- these issues and themes still remain very relevant and are Compounded
by the ￿$t-of41vlng crisis. We have noted an increase in mental health issues. resulting in
increased hospital admissions, isolation, negative impact on physical health conditions, and
complex presentations. This is exacerbated by increased bad(logs with long waiting times,
and under-resourced seprfices. This has a residual impact on communrty sector services,
who tend to support individuals whilst they are warting for statutory serrfices. This increases
the risk we carry including staff ￿moUt, arKI safeguarding concem￿n$ks that we must
manage.
On a positive note, have secured premises at a local community Centre and increased
our online and Ir￿persOn offer throughout the y￿k to ensure we ¢an meet varying needs
and interèsts of our users. We aim to reduce further isolation, and maintain a conneGted
communty.
ALAGIAutism Hub trustees are pleased wrth the SUC(￿es and achievements through
April 2022 to March 2023. The expansion of services desyte the challenges post pandemic
and the cost-of-living Cri￿8. is a testament of th8 hard work. dedication and commitment of
our staff team, counsellors and volunteers who have gone the extra MI￿ in all areas to
ensure this ex￿lIent service continues to have a positive impaca on individual lives and the
communty as a whole. believe we are well ￿aCed to continue delivering our services in
the coming year 2023124 arKI sustaining our wvice going forward.
