Thoi objects of Moss and Fenwick Village Hall (MFVH) are to provide,
quip, rnanage, maintain, and run the village hall/community centre in
| Floss and Fenwick for the benefit of the community both from our Parish
and outside, without distinction of Political, religious, or other opinions.
The hall is intended to be a venue capable of being successfully used for
social, recreational, educational, sporting, entertainment, health and
wellbeing and other activities, meetings or classes that the community
would like to hold.
Summary of the objects of the
charity set out in its

The charity main aim is to promote and facilitate the use of the Hall by
groups who help to bring together the rural community.
MFVH is run as a charity, is non-profit making and will be for the benefit
of all users, with any surplus of cash being used to improve and maintain
the hall and its offering.

focus for Ihe charily Irustees.
And several groups use the facilities regularly and provide much needed
8UPPOrt for Ihe health and wellbeing of the local community,
We welcomed Field Gate School in April who are based in the rural
community of neighbouring Fishlake. Field Gate School is a small
independent SEMH school for pupils aged 6-18.
The school is registered to offer education to 45 pupils with a range of
needs including ADHD, autism, developmental trauma, sensory
processing difficulties, dyslexia, and attachment difficulties, amongst
other varying needs. Field Gate School caters to very small class groups
of pupils, promoting social engagement. They have used the hall to help
school some of their pupils several times a week throughout the school
easter to summer tem.

Weekly and monthly workshop Yoga sessions for all, Dance classes
most nights for all, Pilates classes, dog training, community groups,
Moss and Fenwick Parish Council Meetings held quarterly as well as
Thorpe in Balne Parish Council Meetings also quarterly.
The hall is also used on a regular basis for CPC training courses, First
Aid courses and pet and animal first aid.
Other regular users for the hall include children's achievement
presentation evenings, dancing, disco's, birthday parties, business
conferences and meetings, other celebration parties.
Events .
Fenwick village Cricket club held their inaugural fund-raising race night
which went a long way to raising enough funds to keep the club going for
another year with over 60 playing members of all ages.
Lots of community led socials and get togethers were held over the year.
The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity
Commission on public benefit. Hall events are open to all and are priced
competitively and affordable.
Repeat users, community groups and groups supporting the vulnerable

A new automatic floor cleaner wag purchased to aid cleaning and speed
up Ilie floor drying process.
A defibrillalor was donated by the parish council and fitted on the external
wall for the benefit of the hall and the wider community
Health and safety procedure has been reviewed and full risk
assessments were done so that risks could be identified and managed.
Prevention and fire safety procedures were also reviewed and changes
were made to the hirer's induction pack and training.
The trustees and wider committee believe the main achievement of the
charity, continues to be the bringing together of the local community to
socialise and to support one another in these challenging times.
A particular focus remains to include the more isolated members of the
rural community and assist them in enjoying the facilities and the
company of others.
In terms of future initiatives, we are looking to provide a meeting room
tliat's twice the size of the current which will include an accessible WC
and small kitchenette, also a storage area of the main hall. Planning
application submitted.
We will look to replace of the gents troughs to cleaner, environmentally
friendly and more water efficient urinals. We will assess once the other
major building works are completed
With then Hall being constructed in 2015, very little has needed doing to
the fabric of the building.
The village hall continued to bring people together for health, wellbeing,
educational and leisure purposes.
Without the hard work from the volunteers and trustees this wouldn't be
able to happen.

We have continued to invest in advertising the hall and its facilities it has
to offer via a dedicated website and updated Facebook page.
The key investment priorities are to continue to efficiently run the facilities
for the benefit of all and to ensure the hall remains a welcoming place for
the immediate rural community and wider community to meet, greet and
use for their enjoyment.
