ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
How our activities deliver public benefft
Throughout the year the club house is available for use by the local communlty. The local pigeon
club continue5 to use the facilities for meetings and discussions. The clubhouse is also available
for hi￿ for social events.
There are five local football teams who hire the pitch throughout the year to train as they have no
training facilities available to them. This enables the players to continue with their fitness and skills
and train safely under floodlights in the winter months whilst having use of the changing room and
shower facilities,
The availability of pitch hire also enablesthe local primary schools to participate in hockey- based
activities and games. This helped to give the children an insight into playing hockey on Astro turf
and became a basis for the primary & secondary league.
Summer league returned again this year which was open to junior & senior members old & new,
parents and anyone who wa5 keen to play. Thiswas a window for potential recruitment of players
from the community and enhanced confidence, fitness and health.

VOLUNTEERS
Volunteer5 arè an important resource. Coaches who run the Summer league and oversee teams do
so voluntarily and are affiliated to the club. Our coaches provide training sessions and we also
have qualified umpires who officiate league games again on a voluntary basis. Coaches and club
members running the groups have undertaken DBS checks.
Achlevement5 & Performance
In the coming season 23124 we will be entering three sides in to both the men's and women's
league5.
During the season the club hosted the majority of the county junior toumarnenvs.
Flnanclal Revlew
The main source of income has been from the rental of the CIOS facilities with additional income
from pitch hire to the local football teams and primary hockey.
The club charges membership fees to its member5 Ithis season we started charging an fee that
included match feesl. This helps to pay for affiliation to
England Hockey, Cornwall Hockey, Verde Rec￿0 Hockey League, West Women's Hockey League.
competition fees, coaching and umpiring courses, County Schools & Youth, DBS checks and
equipment purchased.
Membership also pays for players insurance and public liabilty insurance and training.
Income ha5 31$0 been generated from the erection of sponsorship lJ)ards.
Payments have included essential maintellan￿ for a new boiler & public liability insurance for
health & safety. accountancy and legal fees, insurance for players for the forthcoming season to
ensure thelr wellbeing, affiliation fees, competition fee5, equipment purchases as well a5 general
