Sth March 2013, athleb*d charitable status on 3rd February 2015.
The FrIend￿ obje¢iive ts to Use its fvnds (the TNst Fund) for the preservation. repair, maintenance,
restoration. improvement and omamentstlon of the fabri¢ of the Parish Churth of Great Berkhamsted
and of the Churchyards occupied by or belonging to the Church. The tharrty is based and focused in
Berkhamsted. Hertfordshlre whkh 15 an anclent market town with a bng and important history.
Plvotal to the town's history bs both St Peterfs Church and the associated churchyards.
5t Petw's Church is a medleval building full of hisiorkal and arthitettural interest whKh Iles at the
heart of 8erkhamsted. In the eight hundred year5 of the church's history, we can trace the fortun￿ of
ourtown. Townspeople. school chlldren and visitor5 can find in 5t Petels a rkh heritw of tocal and
archltectural history.
The detached thur¢hyard (Rectory Lane Cemetery) Is the onty laf8e open space atthe east end of the
