The Rural Learning Alliance (RLA) comprises of 7 schools. The aim is to improve the outcomes for children and young people by establishing training, leadership & support for schools in north Cumbria. The role is to encourage collaboration between schools & enable good practice to be shared across the alliance. It also designs and delivers training to meet the specific challenges within the area.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are The Advancement Of Education For The Public Benefit.in Furtherance Of This Object The CIO May Do All Or Any Of The Following:• Strengthen The Provision Of High Quality Initial Teacher Training By Working In Partnership With The University Of Cumbria, School Direct And Carlisle Secondary Learning Consortium In Both Rural And Urban Small School Settings.• Broaden The Range And Scope Of Continuing Professional Development Opportunities Within And Beyond The Rural Learning Alliance.• Develop The Rural Learning Alliance’s Capacity To Identify And Develop Leadership Talent.• Offer High Quality School To School Support• Develop And Deploy Specialist Leaders In Education.• Build On Research And Development Currently Taking Place.
