THE ROSELANDS TRUST 1160216 Trustees, Report The Trustees of The Roselands Trust are pleased to submit their report and accounts for the year ended 31 December 2020. Charitable objectives The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and its income upon trust for the public benefit to pursue any such purpose which is exclusively charitable according to the law of England and Wales as the trustees shall in their absolute discretion shall determine from time to time. Main activities Money is raised principally through donations from Mortgage Guarantee Limited, a company in which the director, Mr K Johnson, is a trustee of The Roselands Trust. The Trust does not seek donations from the general public, but will accept donations from indivduals or organisations should they be offered. Review of activities During the year the trust directly supported 22 local charities. In addition a further 7 charities received grants through the Trusts association with the Cumbria Community Foundation. In addition, the Trust made an additional grant to the Cumbria Community Foundation to assist with their COVID-19 Respose Fund. THE ROSELANDS TRUST 1160216 Independent examiner's report to the trustees of The Roslands Trust I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Roselands Trust (the Trust) for the year ended 31 December 2020. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,) I report in respect of my examination of Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Independent examinerfs statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. Basis of preparation The financial statements have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis as permitted by the provisions of the Charities Act 2011 2. Going concern The accounts have been prepared on the assumption that the charity is able to continue as a going concern, which the trustees consider appropriate having regard to the current level of unrestriced reserves.There are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability to continue as a going concern.
