Professor lan J Mccolm Heather 8rae Shap Cumbria CAIO 3PH J have examined the recoTd5. accounts, receipts, and inromcjexpcnditure for the period 2021- 2022 as presenied by Shap Community Enterprise. As usual thc task is madc casy by th¢ carefully kept and well-presenied records through which paper Irails are easy to follow for each weck of the year. Thc new forn)& uf th¥ munthly balance sheets is extremely gwd and ple&sure to use. All income and expenditure is easy to se¢ and so random paper trails through receipts and work sheets are ￿Y to do. I have done a number of paper trails for weeks sclecled at random and on no occ&sion have I found discrepancies. Overall the accounts summary shows a strong position with subslantial grant pay-outs Io sCVCrnt local activitie5 fdDging from the School 10 Church and Youth organisations via Bowling club. Gardcntng club, Swimming Club Sh¢licrcd Housing COTnplex. The villagc also benefi￿ from a regular renl paid to the Memorial Hall commiltee lo run the luncheon club on Mondays. An operdting profit of £24.717 has enabled totsl grdnts of £19,908 10 be paid during the year and £4.000 ￿ be added io the reserves. The increased year end current accouni balance (£40,686) reflects the recovery in aclivili¢s after Covid. A full collcrtion of invoirxs was availablc and chcckoj against th¢ Bank Stalcincnls. Dilig¢nt recording ofall receipls and for ￿Y c&sh transactions madc checking all ouilays possiblc. Ovcrnll ihc accounts are cxccllcnily kcpt and thcy are a correct rccord of the business state ofthc cnierprise. -l-hcy Llearly show a wcll-run, well SUPFK)rtcd charily cnlerprise. As M re5uII of thc examination I find the accounls to bc a true and c()rrect record ofihe financi41 posilion of Shap Communily Enlerprise over the period covered. Prof. lan J Mccolm Bsc DSC. DPhil.
