The objects of the Charity are:

The charity operates under the working names of Watton Pentecostal Church, Arise Women's Ministry, Watton on the Web and Camera Club.

.

Charity Activities include:

The advancement of the Christian faith including pastoral care; social action; children’s activities; club for the poor, the elderly or lonely; visitation to homes; working together with other charities and voluntary bodies; 0verseas missions; counselling; women’s meetings; providing Christian resources online and technical assistance.

This year has been a challenging one in many ways, but we have been able to move forward and once again open up the church for Sunday morning services. The leadership team have worked hard to continue to provide pastoral support and spiritual leadership for people during this year. This has been done in part with the continuation of Sunday services, and online daily Bible verses, weekly Bible studies, Bible quizzes and humorous stories using social media to reach people. The home groups have been able to meet face to face and this has been well received and again offered people fellowship and support during the year.

1. Watton Pentecostal Church Working in partnership for the community

Watton Pentecostal Church continues to seek to work in partnership with other groups to offer a valued service to the community in areas where the church doesn't have the expertise to make such a provision. Working in partnership means that we offer the building free of charge, volunteers to open up and offer help by providing refreshments etc. We currently work with Diabetes UK Watton and District Support Group.

However, during 2021 Diabetes UK Watton and District Support Group have had to stop meeting in the church, but they will be re-opening in 2022 and will continue to use the church building.

2 | P a g e

Watton Pentecostal Church will continue to serve the town of Watton by offering a warm and secure venue for other organisations to provide a service to the town. This is a worthwhile and successful way of the church meeting its obligation of servanthood in the town.

2. Watton on the Web

Watton on the Web (WOW) is the name for the internet presence of River Ministries (Norfolk). WOW hosts a number of different churches and organisations.

The main internet site of River Ministries (Norfolk) is Watton on the Web (www.watton.org), which in 2010 received over 28 million hits. An explanation of the vision and services of WOW can be found at www.watton.org.uk.

Other sites owned by River Ministries (Norfolk) include Watton Pentecostal Church (www.wattonchurch.org.uk), which gives updates on church activities and The History of Watton (www.historyofwatton.org.uk), which through local historians explains local history.

3. Watton Pentecostal Church Friendship Club

In 2021 the Friendship club has been unable to meet until towards the end of the year and is now open once again and has well been received by its members

4. Arise Women's Ministry

Arise held a Refreshment Day at the church, which was well attended and although a Weekend Conference was not held the Arise team are planning a Weekend Conference in May 2022.

5. Noah's Ark

During 2021 the group has had to be closed due to COVID restrictions. This has been a challenging year for parents and children, but we hope to reopen the group in the future.

6. Worship Team

The worship team has done an amazing job of continuing to grow and provide worship whilst the church has re-opened. The worship team have been a vital part of what is offered on a Sunday morning.

7. Visitation team

As the church opens up and restrictions have been lifted, it has been great to see the welcomers on a Sunday morning return to the foyer and offer a warm greeting to people as they come in.

8. Camera Club

The Camera Club meets once a month in the church, this has remained closed but will once again reopen in 2022.

9. Sanctuary Training

We were unable to hold any training events in 2021 due to continuing restrictions. Consideration will be given to hosting these in 2022.
