The year 2020 has been another year of change; both Nick and Flora Nundy have stepped down as trustees on the 29[th] March 2020. We believe that 2021 offers an opportunity to forge new relationships and to work with like minded organisations nationally and internationally, while seeking to support and serve the local community.

This year has been a challenging one in many ways, but probably most of all was the challenge of the lockdowns that have occurred during this year and the decision to close the church doors on the 29[th] March 2020. The Sunday morning services have gone online via social media; this has presented an opportunity for the church to grow in new areas. The leadership team have worked hard to continue to provide pastoral support and spiritual leadership for people during this tough year. This has been done in part with the introduction of the online services, daily Bible verses, weekly Bible studies, Bible quizzes and humorous stories using social media to reach people. The home groups have switched to meeting on Zoom and this has been well received and again offered people fellowship and support during this year.

1. Watton Pentecostal Church Working in partnership for the community Watton Pentecostal Church continues to seek to work in partnership with other groups to offer a valued service to the community in areas where the church doesn't have the expertise to make such a provision. Working in partnership means that we offer the building free of charge, volunteers to open up and offer help by providing refreshments etc. We currently work with Diabetes UK Watton and District Support Group.

## _**River Ministries (Norfolk) for the year ended 31[st] December 2020 Trustees Report**_

However, during 2020 Diabetes UK Watton and District Support Group has had to stop meeting in the church, but we hope that they will continue to use the church building in 2021.

Watton Pentecostal Church will continue to serve the town of Watton by offering a warm and secure venue for other organisations to provide a service to the town. This is a worthwhile and successful way of the church meeting its obligation of servanthood in the town.

## 2. Watton on the Web

Watton on the Web (WOW) is the name for the internet presence of River Ministries (Norfolk). WOW hosts a number of different churches and organisations.

The main internet site of River Ministries (Norfolk) is Watton on the Web (www.watton.org), which in 2010 received over 28 million hits. An explanation of the vision and services of WOW can be found at www.watton.org.uk.

Other sites owned by River Ministries (Norfolk) include Watton Pentecostal Church (www.wattonchurch.org.uk), which gives updates on church activities and The History of Watton (www.historyofwatton.org.uk), which through local historians explains local history.

In 2020 Watton on the Web invested the fees from hosting missionary ministries back into their own ministries. Therefore, WOW was able to waive payment of £25 from Shalom Africa (Dama Safari), £25 from Aid2India (Fredrick Antony), and £25 from Nest Worldwide Ministries Asia (Raj Kumar).

## 3. Watton Pentecostal Church Friendship Club

In 2020 the Friendship club has been unable to meet since March, however contact has been maintained with members by way of a phone call every Friday. This has been appreciated and looked forward to by the members. We hope that we will be able to reopen the doors in 2021 and again continue to see numbers grow.

## 4. Arise Women's Ministry

Arise was not able to host their usual Refreshment Day or Weekend this year, but went virtual, hosting a virtual weekend on social media and a Refreshment Day. These were well received and participation in the virtual events was amazing.

The Arise team is planning on continuing the virtual ministry until we are able to meet again in person and have plans underway for 2021 and 2022.

## 5. Noah's Ark

During 2020 the group has had to be closed due to COVID restrictions. This has been a challenging year for parents and children, but we hope to reopen the group in 2021.

## 6. FLOS (Fun Learning on Sundays)

The year started well but once again this group has stopped whilst the church is closed.

## 7. Pulse Youth Group

The group has grown and been well received by the young people but has had to be closed since March. We fully intend to reopen once able to.

## 8. Worship Team

The worship team has done an amazing job of continuing to grow and provide worship whilst the church has been closed. The services have gone online using social media to broadcast. The worship team have been a vital part of continuing to connect with the church whilst in lockdown.

When the church was open during the start of this year on a Sunday morning a warm and friendly welcome has been given to everyone by the welcomers in the foyer.

## 10. Camera Club

The Camera Club meets on the first Thursday of the month in the church, this has had again to close but it members have been keeping in touch. We will once again reopen in 2021.

## 11. Sanctuary Training

We were unable to hold any training events in 2020 because of Covid lockdowns. Consideration will be given to hosting these in 2021.
