The trustees present their report and financial statements for the year ended 30 April 2025.
Structure. goveman¢e and management
Re<rultment and appointment of Managln8 Tru5tee5
Management Trustees are appointed by existing members of the Management Team in accordance with the
Church Constitution. Their appolntment is approved by Church Members at a properly convened members
meeting.
Trustee Induction and tralnlng
Trustee induction takes place on appointment. The Trustees keep up to date wlth matter5 of Charlty Law, the
duties of trustees and community organisations.
Organlsatlonal structur•
The Trustees look after the day to day management of the charity and the work of Oa515 Community Church
IRetfordl which currently meets at the WestHIII Community Centre In Ordsall for its main meetin85. The Church
meets In other various locations for dlfferent events and activities as they currently do not have their own
premises,
Oasls Community Church (Retfordl operates wlth the following structure: Pastor, Trustees, Mlnlstry Team and
Treasurer. The Pa&tor is the Chairman of the Trustees, who are responsible for overseein8 financlal, legal matters,
child protectlon, protection of vulnerable adults, insurance and other leadership matters. The Ministry Team
work tO8ether with the Trustees to oversee the various ministries and activities of the Church Fellowship and the
pastoral and social care needs of individual members.
Staff
Pastor Stève Williams is self employed on a part tlme basis a? Pastor and oversees the work of both Oasis
Churches and also mana8es the Oasis Community Centre. Steve ha5 been workin8 consistently with the
Mana8ement team to try and maintain the church and charity and look towards future plans.
Volunteers
We are blessed with great members and workers who are all volunteers and 22 work hard for the benefit of the
charity. its members and the community. Our volunteers serve well not only the church famlly and Oasls
community but the wider community wherever there are people with needs.
Objectives and actlvltles
The primary objectlve of the charlty is the advancement of the Christian Faith by the proclamation and
furtherance of the Gospel. Many of the activities are evangelical, but other activities are community care based
activities, educational, soclal, health, wellbein8 and practical in focus, benefittiiig the local community of Ordsall
and Retford and the surrounding villages in the wider 8assetlaw community.
All our regular Church meetings and other activities are open to any members of the public along with speclalist
age or Interest related group5 le.g. children, youth. elderly etcl.

We have still been facing challengin8 times in the community of Ba55etlaw due to the Increased Cost of Living
crisis, food and fupl increased costs hitting people hard. It has meint many Deople have needpd P4,elp and support
in many practical ways. The O?sis Charit.'es in Retford and Worksop h&ve contlnued
finding wai s to SUPPOI ( people of 311 ayES through increasingly d',fficulY tlines.

Achlevements and performance
We have achieved derent numbers of people in our church services and we have continued to try to make
advance5 and progress with all 35NTects of our vision.
OPERATION OASIS
We have continued working wlth Jur sister charlty OASIS in Wol ksop on OPERATIO14 OASIS (Food BGX project)
and OASIS BEFRIEND Iono to one Befriending project) and b.ave delivered these projects to penple across the
Retford and Bassetlaw area. We have hao to raise significant fknnding between the two chaiStles and have given
out over ' 5,000 food and essentials parcels In the area between us over the last 5 year$. What st3rtpd as a srnall
project at the beginning of the Covid period Is still contlnuing to 4row anrl is rnore needed than it Wcis during the
covid poriod. We have a team of voluntqer5 who Kreate parcels, 8lfi5 and food boxes and 4eliver the.parcels to
people in the 8assetlaw area,

Operational
Our leadership Structure ensures that members of the Ministry team are av3Slable to step in ￿hen illness or other
circum5tantes prevent Pastor Stevo from fulfilling hls role. Steve's health lias improved dknring this year. Health
and Safety, Child Protection and Vulnerable Adults policies are in place and active, Activities are risk dssessed and
appropriate insurance Is in place.

We currently do not have extensive reserves, but we are working to spend the charitable income on what we are
doing and keep a reserve amoup,t In the account for unforeseen circknmstances.

Those applying to work with children or vijlnerable adults are recruited safely and under80 DBS checks, These are
updated every three year5. Where individuals are unknown by the leadership team references are taken from
previous pastors and/or employer5.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Oasis Community Church IRetfordl Ithe Trust) for the
year ended 30 Aprll 2025.
Responslbllltles and basls of report
A5 the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
requirements of the Charities Act 20111'the Act'l.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in
carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under
section 14515llbl of the Act.
Independent examlner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no materlal matters have come to my attention in connectlon with
the examination 8iving me cause to belleve that, in any material respect:
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with sectlon 130 of the Charities Act: or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records
the accounts did not comply with the appll¢able requlrements concernlng the form and content of
