It works closely with Voluntary Action Staffs and The Community Foundation for Staffordshire. The charity has a positive working relationship with Adult Social Care, Supported Living providers and NHS staff from the Learning Disability Team. The main activities are table games, crafts, pottery, gardening and cooking. The Hub also offers access and support with information technology. Some people attend purely for the opportunity to enjoy companionship and make new friends. Those who live in supported accommodation enjoy having a place to go where they meet other socially isolated people and share experiences. Volunteers assist in supporting members to maintain raised vegetable beds, planters and the greenhouse. A trustee who is employed by the local Coop is a regular volunteer. The staff at the store work closely with us and help to identify local people who are vulnerable. ## **Consultation** All attendees are consulted on a regular basis. The management team and trustees consider all requests and deliver those that are affordable and practical. Consultation takes place on a one-to-one basis. **during the year**|The charity continues to be an essential provider of creative activities for
all age groups who wish to attend.
The main achievement has been to increase the number of members and
wider the range of activities.
The Hub offers a significant number of placements for Health and Social
students. T level students have attended for 10 week blocks.
The Hub continues to offer activities on 5 days a week, along with trips to
the seaside.
There are four active Community Health Champions who liaise with
Social Prescribers, Community Nurses, Speech Therapists and Social
Care staff to support improvements in health and well-being of vulnerable
individuals.
Volunteers support older people who are socially isolated, often through
reduced mobility, with shopping and visits to the GP, or to collect
pensions and pay bills.
In partnership with the local Coop, funds were raised to provide a
defibrillator outside the building. A local neighbour gave a significant
donation to help us reach the target. The councillor also made a
generous donation from the ward budget.
