## **Financial Review**

## **2.2 INCOME**

Any Gift Aid amount recovered on a donation is considered to be part of that gift<br>and is treated as an addition to the same fund as the initial donation unless the donor or<br>the terms of the appeal have specified otherwise.<br>Donated services and facilities are included in the SOFA when received at the value of<br>the gift to the charity provided the value of the gift can be measured reliably.<br>The cost of any stock of goods donated for distribution to beneficiaries is deemed to be<br>the fair value of those gifts at the time of their receipt and they are recognised on<br>receipt. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Abingdon Bridge (the charity) for the year ended 31 March 2024. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

The charity trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’). 

I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner’s statement** 

Since the Company's gross income for the year exceeded £250,000 your examiner must be a member of a body listed in section 145 of the 2011 Act (as amended). I confirm that I am qualified to undertake the examination because I a member of the Chartered lnstitute of Public Finance and Accountancy, one of the listed bodies. 

I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or 

- 2 the accounts do not accord with those records; or
