expenditure of £622 was for administrative expenses. The income. which is generated from the
CIO'S investment portfolio. has shown a small 8rowth this year, as dNidend receipts are slowly
recovering after companies were forced to reduce dividend payments in the light of the COVID-19
pandemic. However, the overall value of the investment portFolio has fallen to £728.074 from

The objects of charity are forthe relief of mental disorder or mental impairmenL including research
into antenatsl causes and the cure. treatment and care of infrdnts. chiklren and young persons
suffering from mental disorder or impaiment. Because funds forgrants are limited. the Trustees
have decided as a matter of poliry that grants should be restricted to beneficiaries who are children
aged 16 and under. A body seeking funding must therefore satisfy the Trustees that any grant will
be applied for the benefr( of children in that category. Where a grant 1$ sought for purposes whlch
would benefrt children with physical disabilitie5 as well as those with mentsl disabilities, at least 75%
of the proposed beneficiaries must be children suffering from mental disorder or impairnient. The
Trustees also generally prefrr to make Brdnts for identrfied item5 of equipment, or specified material
projects. rather than to contribute to general running expenses.
Each application for a grant is considered by the chartvs administrator. If rt doe5 not fall within the
charitys objertives it is rejected. Those applications which are eligible for o grant are considered at
one of the meetings of the tntstees. which take place twi￿ a year. usually in June and December.
The trustees decide which applications best comply with their policy and make gronts accordingly.
within their Cur￿nt financial resources from income on investments. Grants are made usually of
amounts between £5CK) and £3.CKX).
The trustees, in making decisions about 8rants. have had due regard to the commlssion's public
benefit guldance. A total of 9 grants to charities were made for projects which met with the
trustees, approval. all within the tru5tee< policy as ststed above. This compares to 8 grants
awarded In 2021122. We are starting to see an increase in the number of organisations applying for
our grants. as organisations are able to offer a fvller range of services. post pandemic. Our grants
included funding for outdoor play equipment. sensory play equipment. a sensory room. performing
arts visits and specialist activity days.

Alongside the consideration of grants. the Trustees. who are responsible for the
management of the CIO'S investments. discuss with their advisers from Barclays Wealth the state of
the investment portfolio. and the level of investment risk a￿ptable.
The printipol risk to the charity 15 loss in investment value and incorne. and this is reduced by using
the Barclays Wealth Advisory Investment Service which has specialist investment adviser5. The
trustees are satisfied that the charitvs risk mana8ement policy and procedures adequately address
the risks to the charity arising from its activitie&
The investment policy Is to maintain both the capital value of the portfolio and the income yield and
the management poli￿ is to use the net income available to meet application5 for grants.
The trustees decla￿ that they have approved the trustee< report al￿Ve.
