To promote for the benefit of the residents of Briton Ferry and
surrounding areas the provision of facilities for education, recreation,
wellbeing or other leisure time activity of individuals who have need of
such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement,
financial hardship or social and economic circumstances. The facilities
are also for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with
the object of improving the condition of life of the said residents.
To advance education of the public in Briton Ferry and surrounding areas
generally, by the operation and management of a community library for

March **2012** **TAR** 4 Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** The main focus of the Trustees during the year was to attempt to get the library back to some sense of normality after the Covid outbreak. Attracting back previous users of the library and achieving in increase in footfall has proved challenging. A number of new ideas were discussed and would be acted upon in the months to come such as monthly history talks, family history, conversational Welsh to name but a few. The photographic Group is still a strong presence at the library. The main source of income continues to be from grant funding. Attracting new volunteers remains challenging.
