African United Society's activities, includes celebrating black history month every year in an around the month of October, in collaboration with our sister charitable or community organisations in Wakefield and its surroundings.We do organised our own events once or twice every year which is open to the general public, especially people who are isolated or may be Vulnerable to the system.

Objects: The Charity’s Objects ("the Objects") Are:1. To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Working With People In Wakefield Who Are Socially Excluded On The Grounds Of Their Ethnic Origin, Religion, Belief Or Creed (in Particular, Members Of The African Community) To Relieve The Needs Of Such People And Assist Them To Integrate Into Society, In Particular By:a) Providing A Local Network Group That Encourages And Enables Members Of The African Community To Participate More Effectively With The Wider Community;b) Increasing, Or Co-Ordinating, Opportunities For Members Of The African Community To Engage With Service Providers, To Enable Those Providers To Adapt Services To Better Meet The Needs Of That Community.2. To Advance The Education Of The Public In The Subject Of African Culture And Heritage.
