Our analysis Indicaies an Increase in the number of single people relying on our services, more alarmln8ly isthe number of people being referred with no fixed abodè. 2 In the full year we distributed a totsl of 4719 par￿15 through 2669 referralsfrom 3 number of agenaes. These parcels supported 3235 adjuks and 1550 children. The two PEriod5 building up to Chii*mas and January were partlcularly busy. In De￿rnber we also included small Chri5tma5 Eift5 forihe chIld￿n and 60 Christmas Hampers for youn8 people living on thelr ¢)wn and leavln8 care. 3 The second part of the year saw an Increase In referrals, and unfortunately. due tolhe ry)5t of Iwing getting higher the level of donation of goods and cash decllned, we therefore had to continue to buy in goods to support our servlces. 4 The Foodb3nk was supported by donations once a8aln from Northumberland County Councll Comrnunltles Together. Blyth Town Council and the Asda Communlty Fund along wlth a number of buslne5ses located within the Town. We a￿ also partnLved wlth Fareshare who glve us accessto donatlons from Booker. 5 We have a regular ￿lIable group of volunteers and we hold Team Leader meetings every three tnonths and a volunteers meeting every six months so that we are alway5 Icoking at waysto lrnprove our 5ervlce5 to the loial community- We operate five days a week Monday to Friday. We have cornmenced with Tearn Leaders Training by putting them through their Food Hygiene Exarninatlon. we have also commended rewewin8 and updatingour Policies, Procedures and OPe￿tIonal Processes. 6 Our volunteers are very Involved with local school and groups where we will vlsit and de15vertalks on the servlces we provide and the many reasons why families and people In our corrmunlty requlre thls.
