Chairman’s Forward

Another fantastic project completed in Malawi in 2023. Shelter, water and food are the core fundamentals all humans require for survival and having the opportunity to build a total of 52 houses and build another water plant to help people living their simple lives in makeshift mud and straw huts is truly amazing for such a small charity organisation like Children of Adam Appeal.

With the cost of all material and living essentials affecting all lives across the globe, it was challenging to meet the demand to build houses and more water plants, but thanks to the kind donations and continues support and cooperation from the team in Malawi we managed to help with a permanent house which each family can live in with the relief of not having to worry about building another house each time the rainy season starts in Malawi.

There are so many people who could be helped with housing and clean water in Malawi as from having travelled their over 6 times now, we see majority of the population don’t ever dream to be out of the current cycle of housing, water and food poverty, but our team with the support of our donors aims to do our best to help as many as possible each year. Kindly continue to support our worth cause.

Trustee’s Report

Children of Adam Appeal was entered into the Charity Commission’s Register of Charities on 16 January 2015.

Following our assessment in August 2015 and the guidance given by the Charity Commission, we continue to develop and adapted to comply with accordance to our governing document.

The board collectively we would like to send their gratitude and appreciations to all of our volunteers who help out conducting the aid projects in Pakistan and Malawi, and not to forget the great effort made by those who update and continue to collect from the donor community.

We welcome new volunteers, who can offer their experiences, ideas, passion to help grow this organisation and still maintaining our salary free policy.

Children of Adam Appeal is governed by the organisation's policies and procedures ( available for reference in the COAA file stored in the office)

Vision

To provide relief, aid and assistance to people affected by famine, drought, flood or any other calamity/disadvantage and poverty (in particular widows and orphans, elderly and disabled) anywhere in the world irrespective of race, colour, creed or religion.

Mission

Our mission is to establish a healthy, accountable and effective charity organisation driven by our volunteering ethos with minimal overheads.

Volunteers and new Members

Membership has not increased, and we maintain 3 UK based volunteers to our register.

Activities

Malawi Housing and Water aid project successfully completed with great feedback and internal sense of achievement. Largest spend and project size to date.

Website and Social Media

Our Website, YouTube channel and Facebook page are continuously updated with our deployment information, videos and picture which allows the public to review where the funds have been used and how the organisation is helping the needy with food, water, clothing and housing.

Finance Report

From where this organisation started and to now collect and them accountably spend excess of 100k for a small organisation is truly remarkable. The understand of the contractors we use in each project and the volunteers who travel and those who help us collectively operate in Malawi is totally down to the core fundamental of COAA, which is to help the neediest but also based on what the demands are from the community we choose to help and support.

We always aim to have an open and transparent account of our project and have always been willing to explain all exchanges and agreements with any donor when and if required. We hope this report also aids with the open transparency policy we aim to hold and maintain.
