The advancement of education for the public benefit of children and adults living in East Africa, in particular by the establishment and support of schools. 2. Such other purposes as are exclusively charitable in accordan with the laws of England and Wales as the trustees may from time to time determine. Summary ofthe main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts. Continued funding of the running costs of Soma Leo Nyiera Academy in Kenya, which we established in 2015. Para 1.17 and 1.19 The school provides education, support and nourishment for significantly disadvantaged young children in its community. The school is registered as a primary school regulated by the Kenyan Ministry of Education. During 2024 the school had approximately 175 pupils. The school is non-denominational, with the poorest children from the local community attending. Through a Trustee visit in February 2020, and through regular communication with key stakeholders in Kenya, the Trustees are satisfied that our objectives and activities are in line with Soma Leo's stated purpose and in accordance with the public benefit requirements of the Charity Commission. Clean water and nourishment are a key component for the public benefit provided, helping the children to be healthy and have the energy to leam. The school and our resources provided a safe and caring environment for the education and care for our

The future structure of the Kenyan education system remains unclear with, an ongoing review. of recent changes implemented and potential future changes. We continue to make adjustments for competency based education system introduGed a few years ago. We have successfully raised funds to make significant investments in technology and connectivity solutions at the school.
