The Charita>le In￿rporated (hganisation is an early yearfs provider that
operates from a dassroom at Glaisdale Primary School. Tr playgroup is
managed by a committee of parents of children who attend plus one affiliated
member, our child protection Offi￿r. Three pern￿nent members of staff are
employed. Day to day running of the eaty yearfs provision is overseen by the
playgroup manager. Helen Purlill. Parents of children using the playgroup are
invtted to participate in meetings about how the organisation is wn and are
encouraged to beC0n￿ trustees in what is very much a communty-based
organisation. Tnjstees are elected annually at the AGM. The committee is
responsible for" Employment of staff, Reviewing policies and prad1￿, Finan
managemen( Safeguarding children {Child protection). Health and safety,
Fundraising.

All parents or guardians are kn at M￿lir￿S. We a￿ a communty
based, non-profft making organisation registered with the Charity commission.
We are a metnber of the Eaty-yeats Leaming Allian￿ and the North
Yorkshire Early Year5 Partnership ￿1h the kncal authority and ￿ are also
registered with OFSTED.

Glaisdale Playgroup has a high atterKjan￿ rate nK)st wailable pla￿ for
sessions taken. Offering six sessions over three days. In addition. we also
offer a baby and toddler group. breakfast club and lunch (either packed or
provided by the school) enabling the p*group to adapt to meet the needs of
local parents.
