## **Trustees’ Annual Report for the period** From 6th April 2024 Period start date To 5th April 2025 Period end date ## Charity name: The Tamesis Trust Charity registration number: 1159891 ## **Public benefit** The Tamesis Trust objects are:- " The Advancement of Education in the History of Navigation on the River Thames by the Conservation, Maintenance and Display of all types of craft associated with the River, and or related artifacts and records of any kind and in any format, for the benefit of the public by exhibition in a Museum or otherwise and through publication, lectures and events." The Tamesis Trust have a website and a presence on facebook media. The Trust own the 1870 steam launch Cygnet plus a variety of historical steam, internal combustion and electric boat engines, and also many other related artifacts. Most of these have been donated by supporters, further details can be found on the trust website. ## **Activities** The Tamesis Trust was established by trustees of The Consuta Trust as a CIO in 2015 to work towards a Thames Historic Boat Museum to be based at Beale Park. The Beale Park Trustees however subsequently decided to cancel their agreement with the Tamesis Trust despite the Tamesis Trust gaining planning approval for a museum at the park. The Tamesis Trust are now looking to display Cygnet at a new museum in Henley. The Consuta Trust had a marquee at the 2024 Thames Traditional Boat Festival at Henley and agreed to display Cygnet during the three day show. The Trust the acquired the original bronze figurehead of the 1889 Thames steam launch Aurora at scrap value from the Thormycroft Society. We already have the roginal steam engine from this launch. ## **Finances during the financial year.** The only expenditure during the year was the £262 annual insurance cost for Cygnet, however there was £314 interest from our Virgin savings account, giving a net deficit of £35 in the general funds for the financial year. ## **The Tamesis Trust Accounts for 2024-2025** The Trust current account is with the Cooperative Bank and a savings account with Virgin Money.
