In setting objectives and planning for activities the Trustees have given
due regard to the general guidance published by the Charity Commission
in connection with public benefft.
Public benefit has been achieved by ensuring that the use of the funds
given has been publicised - both in the range of types of animal helped
and the way that their welfare has been furthered.
The events that we have attended have also been opportunities to
educate the public about animal welfare, the need to challenge animal
cruelty, and how animals are best cared for.

activities undertaken for the

these objects (include withln

Animal Canopy promotes animal welfare in the main by making grants to
appropriate animal ￿ScUe organisations who have met the grant making
policy requirements. Each organisation has followed the application
prO￿sS prior to the grant being released. and has then executed the
projecuactivities which provided the basis for the grant being made.
Animal Canopy is very appreciative of the contributions made by our
valued volunteers. They have been very supportive and have offered
their time, expertise and suggestions unstintingly.

Section D
Achievements and performance
Achievements in 2025.
Our aGtivities in 2024 have been very restricted because of health issues.
We have not been able to raise significant funds, other than contributions
from a very loyal supporter which we very much appreciate. However, we
have significant funds raised from previous years, which has enabled us
to continue to allocate grants to qualrfying organisations.
Summary of the maln
achievements of the charity
during the year
A total of £420 was raised in 2024. Many thanks are due to those who
have donated, the trustees and to our supporters for their continued
commitment to the charity.
This year we have focused on applications which have had a time
urgency about them. As a result, we have made 3 grants totalling £3000
in 2025. 2 grants (£2000) were to UK organisations and 1 grant (£1000)
was to a UK based organisation whose operations are outside the UK.
It has been very encouraging to hear how the organisations have used
the grants to further animal welfare and wovide public benefit in doing so.
The trustees have had due regard to the guidance on public benefit given
in the Charities Act and the Charities (Accounts and Reports)
Regulations 2008 when planning and executing each event.
Plans for 2026.
We will continue to work closely with the organisations that we support.
However, the health issues currently being suffered will affect what we
can achieve with the charity. Our current plan for 2026 is to continue to
support organisations when they have a specific time related need for
funds. We will continue to use due diligence in these situations and will
ensure that our procedures are followed in all cases.
