"outreacli, work into the wider ¢ommuiiity. Members of the congregation, acting under the d1￿CtiOnS of the
tru5te¢5 and with their full active etlcouragernent. have continued with "outreach" I￿rk whirli they hav¢ catried
out for many years. The trustees of Swiiidon Gospel Trust coiifirm tljat tliey hav¢ complied with tlieir duty under
section 4 of the Charities A¢t 2011 to have due regard to the Charity Commission's general guidance to charities
on publi¢ benefii.

MeTnber5 of the congregation have been actively involved for many years in proactive volunteer roles for the
RRT - Rapid Relief Team who are a r¢gisieTed charity thaf provide pra¢ii¢al support for emergency s¢tvi¢es
during difficult times.
Over tlie last 12 months Ilie coiigretation sn Swindon I￿ve continued to support the RRT at various events, to
provide some relief amongst humanity including starvation. homelessnc55, fire emergencies etc. Swindon
Gospel Trust have continued to support o loc81 charity - Swindon Night Shelter (Charity number.. 1187554) who
operate a centre that offers shelter and food to those in need. During the last 12 months, Swindon Gospel Trust
donated approximately £4.000 worth of food to the Swindon Night Shelter that was used to provide meals for
those r¢lying on their servJc¢s.

comrnunity. Details of the origins, teachings and way of life of the Brethr¢n can be found tsn th¢ website

The Gospel hall is a base from which the regular congregation and others who at¢eDd ¢he meetings are
encouraged to spread the Christian Gospel. in word and deed.
Members of the ¢ongregaiion parti¢ipat¢ ID a programme of street preaching and Gospel tract8 are provided free
of charge by the Charity to such prea¢h¢rs io be twided out to interested members of the public.

Plans for future periods
Despite fbe sncreased cost of energy, the tru5Èees feel thal these increased Costs are noi sigDifi¢antly tmpacting

Meetings
Meetings held at ihe Gospel halls would nonnally in¢lud¢ the Lnrd's Supp¢r (Communion), Gospel preachings.
Bible rcadings and Biblc addresses. There is a structured weekly schedule of meeiings and, dep¢ndiDg on the
parti¢u13r meeiing, between 40 and 500 people normally attend these occa510ns.
Th¢ me¢ting5 arr attended by the regular eongregation and most are open to other properly disposed visitors.
Tjie notice board outside the Hall welcomes visitors and displays the times of Gospel preaching5, along with a
t¢lephone number for those seeking fvrther infomiaiion or help. Gospel tya¢w which 8r¢ distributed by street
preachers, also display this infomatioTh.
Bibles and an extensive rang¢ of other Christian reading material are on display at th¢ halllsl and visitors are
free to help them5elve5.
Funding
Funding is sought through gifts from the ¢ongregarion aDd Gift Aid is claimed on eligible donations. Funding is
50tn¢titn¢s received frotn other charitable trusis with ¢omplementsry objectives.

expended. Total volutltary incotne received this yeai was £192,105 compared 10 £197,161 in the previous year.
