THE GOOD WAY APOSTOLIC CHURCH (GWAC) Reports and Financial Statements Year ended 31ST DECEMBER 2024
Trustees Report
The trustees presents its annual report together with the accounts for the year ended
MISSION : To build a Good Way Family dedicated to reaching out to our community and beyond to change the lives of all people, including the youth, through the Gospel, and to raise an army of Believers who will impact positively our world through the Word.
FROM THE CHAIRPERSON : Despite the numerous challenges many churches have faced in the aftermath of COVID, our church has remained steadfast in living out its calling to influence members and the wider community with the Word of God. We continue to organize a range of events designed to empower individuals, nurture spiritual growth, and shape lives within the church and in our local community.
Our English Assembly, which is predominantly youth, continues to meet at Laurel Park School in Arnos Grove (N14 7HY), while the Twi Assembly services are held at Angel Community Centre, Raynham Road (N18 2JF).
At this point, on behalf of the trustees, I wish to commend our resident pastors and the presbytery for their tireless efforts and faithful service. Their dedication, commitment, and hard work have had a significant impact on the members, encouraging growth not only in their faith journeys but also in other aspects of their lives. Their leadership continues to guide the church toward fulfilling its mission and vision.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES : As part of our tradition as a church, the theme for the year 2024 was “The Year of Signs and Wonders,” drawn from Isaiah 8:18 .
With this theme in focus, leaders, through preaching and teaching, encouraged members to believe in and seek the supernatural power of God at all times and in every situation. Members were reminded that the supernatural presence of God provides help in times of trouble, divine rest, spiritual strength, encouragement, and much more.
GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT : The charity’s sole employee continues to be the resident pastor, Pastor David Amoah. To support him in managing and coordinating the various departments of the church, a number of volunteers also served faithfully. These volunteers were supervised by the trustees and, where required, received appropriate training to enable them to serve effectively.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND PERFORMANCE : Despite the challenges faced in 2024, the church was able to make significant progress in serving both members and the wider community. This was largely due to the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our leaders, who ensured that many of the church’s services and events were delivered successfully and effectively.
Outlined below are some of the activities undertaken during the year under review, highlighting key accomplishments and performance.
JANUARY 2024
Crossover Night Service (31st December 2023):
As is tradition in our church, we welcomed the New Year with a Crossover Night Service. Thanksgiving prayers were offered to the Lord for His protection and blessings throughout 2023, followed by prayers for individuals, the church, and the nation, asking for God’s continued guidance and provision in 2024.
5 Days of Fasting and Prayer (3rd – 7th January):
We began the year with a season of consecration through fasting and prayer. The programme concluded on the first Sunday of the year with powerful intercession for individuals, the church, and the nation as a whole.
Leadership Training Seminar (20th January):
To equip leaders for effective ministry throughout the year, a one-day seminar was organised on the theme “How to Be Effective as a Leader.” This annual training is part of our commitment to building strong leadership to serve both the congregation and the community faithfully.
FEBRUARY 2024
Women’s Ministry Fellowship (3rd February):

Valentine’s Week Seminar & Celebration (14th – 18th February):
Our annual Valentine’s programme focused on building strong and godly relationships.
-
Married couples attended seminars addressing key issues in marriage and family life.
-
Singles participated in interactive sessions on preparing for marriage, making wise choices, and living exemplary lives. Guest speakers shared their personal experiences and practical insights with both groups.
The programme concluded with a special dinner celebration on Saturday, 17th February, bringing together couples, singles, friends, and members of the community to celebrate love, marriage, and Christian fellowship.
United Service & Ordination (Sunday, 28th February):
A special combined service was held, bringing together both the English and Twi Assemblies in a spirit of unity and thanksgiving. During this service, new pastors and other workers, called to serve in the ministry, were officially ordained and commissioned to their duties, dedicating themselves to the Lord’s work and the service of the community.
MARCH 2024
21 Days of Fasting and Prayer (Monday 4th – Sunday 24th March)
In keeping with the tradition of our church, we held our annual 21 days of fasting and prayer under the theme “God of Signs & Wonders” (Mark 16:20). The programme encouraged members to hold firmly to the truth that God is indeed a God of signs and wonders, who makes all things possible. Members were urged to believe Him for every need, in line with Scripture that says: “All things are possible to them that believe.”
Guest speakers and friends from the wider Christian community were invited to minister during different sessions, enriching the experience with diverse teaching and encouragement.
In adapting to the post-COVID rebuilding process, most of the services (Monday to Friday) were conducted virtually, while Saturdays and Sundays were held in person. This hybrid approach continues to strengthen the church’s outreach and participation both locally and online.
Mother’s Day Celebration (Sunday 10th March):
As part of the 21 Days program, we joyfully celebrated Mother’s Day. The women in our congregation led the service with joy and enthusiasm, blessing us with a drama that portrayed how women can contribute to building and maintaining a peaceful home. The celebration concluded with refreshments, where members of our congregation and visitors from the wider community shared fellowship and warm conversations together.
Easter Convention (Thursday 28th March – Sunday 31st March, concluding on Easter Sunday 1st April):
The church joined Christians worldwide in celebrating the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The convention was held under the theme of Christ’s Victory Over Sin and Death , reminding members that the resurrection remains the foundation of our faith and the assurance of eternal life.
Services included times of prayer, Bible teaching, praise and worship, and communion, creating an atmosphere of deep spiritual reflection and celebration. Guest speakers were also invited to minister during different sessions, blessing the congregation with fresh insights into the power of Christ’s resurrection.
On Easter Sunday, both the English and Twi Assemblies came together for a special United Service , which drew not only members but also visitors from the wider community. It was a time of renewal, thanksgiving, and joy as we proclaimed together: “He is risen indeed!”
APRIL 2024
Women’s Ministry Week (Friday 4th – Sunday 6th April):
From Friday to Sunday, the women’s ministry led the congregation in all services. It was a time of encouragement and empowerment, where women ministered through the Word, worship, and prayer, reminding us of the vital role women play in both the church and the wider community.
Workers’ Waiting (Saturday 20th April):
On this day, all church workers and officers gathered together for a time of waiting, prayer, and planning. The focus was on seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit for effective leadership, unity of purpose, and renewed strength to serve the congregation and community faithfully.

Youth Service (Sunday 24th April):
The month concluded with a powerful Youth Service, during which a large number of young people from our congregation and the wider community were invited. The service provided a platform for the youth to actively participate in worship, teaching, and fellowship, reinforcing the church’s commitment to nurturing the next generation in Christ.
MAY 2024
Youth Revival:
In addition to our regular Sunday services and our almost daily online evening services, we held a vibrant Youth Revival. Once again, our regular guest speaker, Prophet Albert Agyei Twum of CCBC, ministered powerfully to the young people. Members of the youth from our congregation, as well as from the wider community, were invited to join, and together we experienced a refreshing move of God’s love and power.
Sunday School Day (Sunday 28th May):
On this special day, our children led the entire service with joy, boldness, and wisdom beyond their years. Under the guidance of their dedicated teachers, the children recited scriptures, shared teachings, and demonstrated the truth of God’s Word that from infancy, the scriptures can make one wise unto salvation. Children from the local community were also invited, making the celebration a beautiful occasion of fun, fellowship, and faith-building.
JUNE 2024
On Saturday, 8th June, we held another Workers' Seminar, bringing all officers and leaders together to discuss the best interests of the church’s work. Alongside this, our regular Sunday services and weekly online meetings continued faithfully.
From Friday 14th to Sunday 16th, the Men’s Ministry took the lead in our services as we celebrated Father’s Day. Through drama and powerful teaching that highlighted the father’s responsibility within the family, we were reminded of the vital role men play in both the home and the church. It was indeed a joyful and meaningful celebration shared with our congregation and members of the community.
MID-YEAR REFLECTION
By the halfway point of 2024, we had already witnessed the faithfulness of God at work in our midst. Despite the many challenges that churches continued to face in the aftermath of COVID-19, our congregation remained steadfast, vibrant, and united. From the powerful seasons of fasting and prayer to the dedicated ministries of women, men, youth, and children, every group played its part in building up the body of Christ and serving the wider community.
We were deeply grateful for the tireless efforts of our leaders, volunteers, and members, whose commitment enabled us to press forward with our mission. Truly, the first half of the year stood as a testimony of God’s grace, and it gave us confidence to anticipate even greater things in the months that followed.
JULY 2024
In addition to our regular Sunday services and weekly online meetings, the month of July began with a 3-Day Revival Prayer Meeting from Friday, 5th to Sunday, 7th. This program was dedicated to thanking the Lord for His grace in carrying us safely through the first half of the year, while also seeking His continued guidance and protection as we entered the second half.
As part of our ongoing spiritual exercises, we concluded the month with 7 Days of Fasting and Prayer from Monday, 22nd to Sunday, 28th. This period of prayer and consecration was observed to strengthen us spiritually for the months ahead. As always, members of our wider community were invited to join, and together we lifted prayers for peace, protection, and blessings upon the nation and its leaders.
The month ended on a high note spiritually, preparing the church to embrace the exciting programs and community engagements planned for August.
AUGUST 2024
The month of August began with the joyful celebration of our Senior Pastor’s birthday on Sunday, 4th August. In addition to this, the church continued with its regular Sunday services and weekly online meetings, maintaining fellowship within the congregation and with members of the wider community.

From Sunday, 11th to Wednesday, 14th, the youth embarked on a retreat to Rock UK Frontier Centre, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, accompanied by their friends and some youth from the community. Under the guidance of committed youth leaders, the retreat proved to be a life-transforming experience. The young people returned with powerful testimonies and a noticeable change in their lives, which continues to be evident in their actions and commitment to the Lord.
On Saturday, 17th August, the entire church gathered for a church outing day trip to Brighton seaside, with many community members joining the fellowship. The day was filled with joy, unity, and celebration. Significantly, eight souls—youth and adults—were baptized during the outing. Some of the youth surrendered their lives to Christ after witnessing the transformed and exemplary lifestyles of their peers, a testimony to the power of God at work within the next generation.
SEPTEMBER – OCTOBER 2024
September 2024
From Friday, 6th to Sunday, 8th September, the Women’s Ministry was allowed to lead our services. As always, they did exceptional work, igniting the Spirit and encouraging the congregation in faith and devotion.
On Saturday, 14th September, we held Charged Night, one of the church’s biggest annual programs—a music festival for the youth. Over 300 youths from London and the surrounding areas attended. While they enjoyed the music and fellowship, the event also provided a platform to preach Christ, encourage positive life choices, and emphasize the importance of education as a tool for personal and societal growth.
Throughout the month, regular Sunday services and weekly online meetings continued. On Saturday, 28th September, all church workers and officers gathered for a Workers’ Waiting, where prayers were offered for the progress of the church. Strategic discussions were held on how to impact the community and the wider world with positive, life-changing messages.
OCTOBER 2024
Alongside our regular services, on Sunday, 6[th] October, an Appreciation Service was held to honour our Resident Pastor, recognizing his dedication and sacrifices in serving both the church members and the wider community. The congregation expressed gratitude through prayer, words of encouragement, and fellowship.
From Friday 11[th] to Sunday 13[th] October, the Men’s Ministry took the lead in our services. Members from the church and the local community joined in fellowship, where refreshments were served and presents were distributed to those in need. This program successfully combined spiritual encouragement with practical support, demonstrating our commitment to serving both God and the community.
NOVEMBER 2024
Monday 4[th] – Sunday 24[th] November, we held our annual 21 days of Fasting and Prayer, based on the Theme: The Lord Will Provide, Theme Quotation: Genesis 22:7-8
As ever, we prayed for our members, community, nation, and leaders for the Lord’s protection and guidance.
DECEMBER 2024
On Saturday, 14[th] December, in the morning, all the church workers gathered to evaluate the year in service, reflecting on our successes and identifying areas for improvement. Later that evening, we held our final Charged Night of the year at The Shaw Theatre, where nearly 500 youths and adults attended. It was another powerful opportunity to worship, pray, and advise the youth to avoid crime-related activities and focus on their education and future goals.
On Sunday, 22[nd] December, we celebrated our annual Christmas Party, this time marked as JUMPER DAY, with everyone joyfully wearing Christmas jumpers. The program was full of vibrant performances from the Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, and Sunday School. Gifts were exchanged among ourselves and with community members who joined us in the celebration. In addition, we raised donations that were later presented to Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
Finally, on Tuesday evening, 31[st] December, we concluded the year with a powerful New Year’s Eve Service, giving thanks to God for His guidance throughout 2024 and praying for His continued blessings in the new year, 2025. The service was well attended by both members and community guests, leaving everyone uplifted and filled with hope.
