## **Trustees Report**

The trustees presents its annual report together with the accounts for the year ended 31ST DECEMBER 2021.

**MISSION** : To build a Good Way Family dedicated to reaching out to our community and beyond to change the lives of all people including the youth through the Gospel and to raise an army of Believers through the word.

**FROM THE CHAIRPERSON** : The Year 2021 was a transition year from the pandemic last year to getting back to the new normality as we know it. This has meant that a combination of online meetings and in person meetings had to be implemented. Despite all the challenges the church continued to persevere in supporting both the church members and the wider community. This has meant getting back to some of our basic principles of fellowship and members wellbeing. Although these came with it own challenges, we have been able to adopt to these and enable us to engage with our members in the best and effective way. We are looking forward to 2022 to bring further improvement and growth during pre-covid times.

I would like to commend the resident Pastors and the Presbytery for the continuous hard work, dedication and commitment towards achieving the mission and vision of the church despite the difficulties faced in this transition year. The members of the church have positively embraced the new ways of worshipping and meet ups.

**OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES** : As part of our tradition as a church, our theme for the year 2021 was THE YEAR OF EXPECTATION with the theme quotation: Mark 11:24. On this theme and the quotation members were encouraged to have faith in God expecting that anything we do or ask him in prayer by the grace of God we will receive it.

**GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT** : The charity’s’ sole employee still remains the resident Pastor of the church, Pastor David Amoah. To help the resident Pastor to manage and coordinate the various departments within the church also there are others who serve as volunteers who were supervised and received required training from the trustees.

**ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND PERFORMANCE:** Below is the list of activities undertaken during the year in review, highlights key accomplishments and performances. Until some of the COVID- regulations were suspended all the Churches schedule was largely adapted to meet COVID- regulations, which affected many of the church’s events since most of our services were done online.

**JANUARY:** The church ushered in the new year with a crossover all night service where there were prayers were made for individuals, the church as a whole and the nation for the Lord’s blessings and protection throughout the year. After the Crossover night service, on the 3[rd] we had our first New Year Service with Communion. The Church then embarked on 7 days fasting & prayer from Monday 4[th] – Sunday 10[th] under the theme: TEARING DOWN EVIL ALTARS

With the theme quotation taken from Judges 6:24-26 (NIV). Again, severe prayers were made for individual, the church and the nation as a whole

18[th] Leadership Seminar to train our leaders how to serve our congregation and the community effectively

**FEBRUARY:** To celebrate the year’s Valentine season, from Wednesday 10[th] – Sunday 14[th] we held our annual Valentine’s week seminars, which included teaching seminar for the married, and singles seminar of discussions of matters relating to marriage for the youth. Guest speakers were invited to cater to each group and to share their experiences of marriage and relationships and to also educate singles on how to prepare and how to choose a partner. This year we could not organize our usually couple and singles dinner party where members of the community and friends are always invited to come and celebrate love, marriage and singlehood with us due to Covid restrictions.

Members and online viewers were encouraged to partake and were reassured to maintain calm and hold on to their faith in God for protection in the season and indeed the Lord answered our prayer. Members and the wider community in all our services were advised to observe all Covid protocols as delivered by the government.
