ObjcctS1 principal Actilities of the Chfirltv Brilish Albaniaii Muslim Communily is consliluted as an unincorporated charity and it is registered with the Charity Commission on 29 December 2014. The objects of the charity are.. ( l ) to advance the islamic religion and to advance educalion in Islam, in particular but not exclusively Ihrough. the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals to enlighten others about the islamic religion. (2) the promotion of religious hamiony for ihe benefit of ihe public by: (a) educating the public in differeni religious beliefs including an awareness of their distinctive features and their common ground io promoie good relations belw¢en persons of different faith5; (b) promoling knowledge and mulual underslanding and respect of the beliefs and practices of different religious faiihs. Operational and financial review The charity made a net surplus of £34980.08 Income receivable during the year amounted to £65523.81 Trustees Trustees, who served during the year, are set out on page 3. The trustees are elected at ihe Annual General Meeting, and serve until the end of the next Annual General Meeting, where ihey can sland for re-election. Statement of Trustees, Responsibilities The Charities Act requires the trustees to prepare financial siatements for each financial year, which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity at the end of the year and of the incoming and In preparing those financial slatements, the trustees are required to select suilable accounting policies and then apply them consistently, making judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudenl. The Trustees must also prepare the fjnancial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue ils activities. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records, which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the rinancial statements comply with applicable law, regulations with the Charities Act 1993.
