In Sierra Leone one person in employment often supports multiple<br>members of their extended family. Thus by increasing the educational attainment<br>and employment potential of individuals within the community, the benefits will<br>be spread widely across the community.<br>Beneficiaries of SWATS will benefit from:<br>•<br>Free or subsidised education<br>•<br>A safe environment in which to learn<br>•<br>Employment opportunities for the teaching staff that guarantees them fair<br>and regular salaries<br>•<br>Employment opportunities through building and infrastructure projects where<br>as far as possible all projects will be staffed by local people<br>•<br>Access to goods and services to reduce poverty|

## Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

Throughout the year SWATS continued to provide grants that fully funded all running costs of the Evans Primary School. The charity paid for exam fees for a number of students this year and also undertook regular maintenance work, including to the water tank and toilets This year we provided significant bonus payments to teachers to help them cope with the cost of living crisis engulfing the country. 

Each child continued to receive a free lunch each day.
