Para 1.20 | The OBP continues to publish and promote the project (and more broadly, the Orgelbüchlein of J S Bach). The website is continuing to develop. The year has seen a number of events, initiated by or partnered by the OBP: A paper on the Project was delivered at the Bach Network conference, 8/7/24. Awareness was raised of the OBP in the academic community. OBP continued to promote the project in recitals around the world (eg Vienna Cathedral, 25/7/24, Katharinenkirche Hamburg 4/8/24, S Vincent Carcassonne 31/8/24, Leeds Cathedral 4/11/24). The Edinburgh Society of Organists promoted an Orgelbüchlein Workshop on 5/4/25. New pieces were played and a presentation was given by William Whitehead on the project, giving composers a chance to hear their work and develop their thinking, and for the audience to learn more about the OBP. In general, pieces from the project continue to be heard in liturgies and concerts all round the world. Volumes of music are sold via the project website. Twitter (X) and Facebook accounts deliver news, share videos and promote the project. Enquiries to the website are fielded. |
