Para 1.20 | The Orgelbüchlein Project produced Volume 1 (the third of six to be issued) and put it on international sale. Sales of the previously produced volumes continued to increase and reach a wider audience. Special initiatives to reach specific audiences in the public domain were undertaken, including articles in ‘Organists Review’ and online in association with the Royal College of Organists. The online-only Orgelbüchlein Extended was also launched with the issue of two new pieces. Performances of pieces from the project were heard in the public domain all around the world. The X (Twitter) and Facebook accounts continued to provide social media content and exposure, advertising recitals and other events to the public. A paper on the Project was delivered at the Bach Network conference in July 2024. Preparations are in hand for performances in Japan. Electronic distribution of the OBP volumes in downloadable format has now been implemented, bringing the objectives of the Charity to a wider audience. Further, different modes of publication and distribution were being discussed to reach the public in the domestic and international domains. |
