The purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document and remain unchanged

## **Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts.**

The commissioning of new music has now been completed, though compositions continue to be submitted to the Orgelbüchlein Community for free public use. This library now contains over 150 pieces online. Publication of the Orgelbüchlein Project, facilitated by a new publishing relationship with Musica Baltica, will enable more music to be available to organists of all abilities and office - both liturgical and concert-orientated. The next volume is due for release in September 2022. A complete performance of the commissions is in planning for September 2022 in London (8 hours of music). These concerts, promoted in collaboration with the Royal College of Organists, will be free entry and widely publicised, and will involve a small cohort of young organists alongside many recognised professionals. Public interest and engagement with the project continues to be generated through the Facebook Group (672 members) and Twitter account (916 followers). The published volume with Peters Edition is now out of print for the second time, and continues to be acquired by organists around the world.

## **Statement confirming whether the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit**

The trustees have had due regard for the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.**

Performance of OBP pieces have continued to increase around the world, in both church services and in concerts, festivals, masterclasses etc, enriching musicians’ cultural, religious and educational lives. A new and better website is under development for dissemination of compositions and information about the Project, including the free-access Orgelbüchlein Community. A new publishing relationship has been developed with Musica Baltica for the issuing of the remaining five print volumes, which will be of greater benefit to the charity’s income stream. There will also be download possibility. The promotion of the volumes will be undertaken by the charity, with revenues eventually supporting young musicians. The plan is to raise £20k by the year 2027 to begin making meaningful grants.

## **Annual Accounts**

In line with the guidance for Charities where the annual income is less than £10,000, we have reported that the opening balance on our bank account as at 24[th] June 2020 was £3726.27 and during that year, two payments were made, namely bank charges of £5 and a commission fee of £200.

## **Summary**

For this period, there has been little activity as all pieces which needed to be commissioned have been commissioned, and the work of the Charity and its Trustees has centred on establishing new publishing arrangements with a new publisher so as to make all commissions available to the general public and take the project on to its next stage as outlined above.
